"Hello, Neighbor!"

My Father and I lived in a small building near the city where each floor contains two apartments. He didn't want to stay around noisy and crowded streets after mom passed. So, we moved here in this small town..

"This is it! Our new home!" My father looks at the building in front of us and brings me closer

"It's nice.." I smiled

A couple heads down the stairs and spotted us. The woman waves her hand and smiles.

"You must be our new neighbors!" She smiled

"Hello! You're the Yang family, right?" My father asks

"Ahh yes! yes! Our door is right across yours! I'm Jiwon and this is my husband Jungmo! Nice to finally meet you!" She said

"We're very sorry to approach you like this..my lovely wife couldn't help but feel excited cause it's been so long since we had neighbors!" The man smiled

"I'm Kim Sujeon, this is my kid, Y/n!" He gently pushes you

"Aren't you adorable! How old are you now, Y/n?"  She asks

I raised my hands and held up 7 fingers. Mrs. Jiwon smiles and suddenly takes out a toy keychain from her pocket and hands it to me. I look at my father and he nods to me to accept it then I thanked Mrs. Jiwon.

"You must be hungry! Let's go inside we prepared a meal for you!" She smiled

"It must've been a tiring ride from the city." She said

"Ahh we're used to it..this was my wife's hometown." My father smiled

Mrs. Yang's smile turns into a heartwarming expression.

"Well, that is very thoughtful of you for taking your daughter to be in the place where her mother grew up. I bet she's very happy seeing you two here." She smiled

My father's eyes looked like he was startled by Mrs. Yang's response. He was used to hearing the opposite from the people in the city.

"Thank you, Jiwon. I believe so too. My daughter's gonna love this place...just like her mother did." My father looks at me and smiles

I was too busy looking at their pictures and saw them all complete, happy, and....again, complete.

"Oh! That's my baby boy. My son is at his friends' house having a sleepover right now, he's a year older than y/n but I believe they'll get along well."

"I'm sure they would! My daughter is very friendly with everyone." My father smiles

After a few conversations about each other's life stories, we finally finished lunch and it was time to head home.

"It was so lovely having you here. If you need us, we're just one door away!" Mr. Yang laughs

"Yes! Feel free to visit us anytime!" Mrs. Yang smiled

"Thank you for today! The meal was amazing!" My father said

My father looks at me and gestures me to thank them.
