After class, my best friend, Mel, walks up to me and taps on my desk.

"Wanna eat out?" She asks

"I don't wanna go out." I said

She turns around and lets out a smirk.

"I guess I'm going with Denny and Ja-"

I quickly swing my arm around her and she smiles.

"Where to?" I ask and she chuckles

We both head down to Denny's classroom. We notice that they were still having a class so we waited.

"Where is he?" I ask

"He's right there." Mel points to Jake who was listening to the lecture

"Oh! Denny!" She whispers and waves

I look to see Denny waving back at us. The teacher notices and closes the door.

"Shoot! Now how am I supposed to look at him?" I ask her

"They're almost done. Mr. Jung is just announcing about the event next week." Mel replied

Everyone stands up and bids Mr. Jung goodbye. Denny runs to Mel and hugs her.

"Ahh! Missed this!" He said and Mel rolls her eyes

"Put her down. We don't want any public embarrassment at school." Jake comes out fixing his glasses

My heart skips a beat hearing his voice. I turn around and our eyes meet. He gives me a smile and I smile back.

"You're just jealous cause you got none! So, where to, beautiful?" Denny asks

"Let's go to that barbecue place!" Mel said

"The one across the street?" Denny asks and Mel nods

"If it's what my girl wants..she gets!" Denny smiles

We all arrive at the barbecue place and we find a table.

"Let's go order!" Mel said and grabs my arm

She takes me to the cashier and wraps her hand around my waist.

"Like what you see?" She asks

"Hahaha! Stop! he might hear you." I said and she laughs

"May I take your order?" The cashier asks

"Four combos, please." She said

"Was this your hangout place?" I ask her

"Well, it was during high school. But then, due to the pandemic it was closed for a few years. They opened it again after so long." She said and the cashier hands us two trays

"Thank you!" She said and we both head to the table

"Oh let me help you!" The guys take the trays from us and set the table

"Ooooh! Combo!" Denny said

"Okay! Dig in!" Mel said

After eating, we all started talking about how difficult our new lesson was in Physics.

"Ahh! I could never understand the process!" Denny said

"It's easy if you study." Jake said

"Easy for you to say! You got great memory! We call all the time but you never teach me." Denny replied
