They had lunch at a restaurant on their way back home and Faye was utterly quiet the whole time, Yoko was glad at least she ate properly. She knows Faye is hurt, who wouldn't be? The abandonment was still a big thing and now she knows her parents replaced her with someone, someone who isn't different, someone who is normal, someone who isn't intersex.
She might have been okay while they were at Yoko's parents house but she isn't fine and Yoko is aware. There's nothing she could do that will fix this.
It has been a few hours since they have returned to their apartment and Faye hasn't said a single word since then, she has been sitting on the bed in the same position leaning against the headboard.
It's too much, this silence needs to end, she can't just sit here and watch her girlfriend struggle with her emotions. Yoko crawled on the bed and sat next to Faye. "Love..." Yoko called, looking at the side of Faye's face, who slowly turned her face to her, she looked so sad.
"It's okay, do what you need to do to let it out, I'm here." Yoko said softly smiling, her eyes so full of love and understanding.
"Come lay down, you have been sitting here for hours." Yoko said as she laid down, a warm smile on her face as she opened her arms for her girlfriend.
Faye shifted from her sitting position to lay down, she rested her head on Yoko's chest like she always does and Yoko wrapped her arms around her shoulder, one of her hands caressing Faye's hair as she kissed the top of her head multiple times.
For sometime they stay like that wrapped in each other's embrace until Yoko hears a broken sob, Faye is trying not to breakdown. "It's okay, baby, let it out." Yoko said as she cradled Faye's head on her chest.
And in the comfort of Yoko's embrace Faye let herself breakdown as she sobbed uncontrollably, tears flowing freely soaking Yoko's shirt.
It continued for 3 hours straight before Faye fell asleep and to be honest Yoko thanked all the gods at that moment when she realized her girlfriend had fallen asleep because it was truly suffocating, watching the person you loved so dearly crying like this and you can't do anything to take this sadness away.
Faye didn't need comforting words, it wasn't that she was feeling bad about herself or anything, she was just sad, sad about this whole thing, what her parents did, how can someone do this to their own child? Their own blood?
Once Faye was deep in sleep, carefully Yoko moved her so she could lay down on her back before pulling the comforter over her body and tucked her in. Yoko crawled out of the bed, making as few movements as possible, she took her phone from the nightstand and checked the time.
7:52, I should make something for dinner, She thought.
Yoko walked around the bed to the other side and took Faye's phone after putting the phone on silent, as she set the phone back on the nightstand she stared at Faye's face. She leaned in and placed a kiss on her forehead, making sure her hair doesn't hits Faye's face.
She changed her shirt before leaving their bedroom quietly with her phone in her hand and made her way to the kitchen. She set her phone on the counter and opened the fridge to look for something that she can make quickly.
She was chopping the vegetables when her phone started ringing, setting the knife down she took her phone and saw it was her mom so she answered the call,
"Hello, Yoko?"
"Yes, mom, was everything okay there?"
"Yes, honey, is Faye okay?" Mrs. Lertprasert asked cautiously.
Yoko sighed before answering, "No, she isn't, she was crying, badly, for hours and fell asleep, I'm making dinner so she can eat when I wake her up."
"I'm so sorry, honey, we never met her back then, they always made up excuses now we understand why, I feel so bad for her, she didn't deserve it."
