"This is your captain speaking..." I turned on the music again. We're about to land in New York. I wonder what it's like there, the people, the weather, the place. I know it's filled with really tall buildings or shall I say skyscrapers. And it's filled with lights at night. I've never been there but I've seen it in movies. I'm scared. I'm scared if the city's going to change me.
The plane landed safely. We walked out and into the airport. So this is New York's airport. There are so many people here. I can see a couple, the girl in a wedding dress and a guy in a tuxedo. Newly wed? Off to honeymoon? In the middle of the night?
We got our luggages and we're heading to the door. My dad got us a taxi. Dad came here not too long ago. He came here for business trips. So I guess he knows the city. And see? Because of his business trips, we are gonna live here.
We got into the cab. I fell asleep on the whole ride going to our condo. Well, mom and dad bought it. It has three rooms, kitchen and a living room. Guess the city lights weren't enough to keep me awake. I'm exhausted. And anyway, I can watch all those city lights some other time, since we'll be staying here for the rest of my life.
