The next day, I went to the park again hoping I'd see him. He was so kind and I wanted to be his friend. The park was filled with people. They were everywhere. The possibility of finding Brett was impossible. But I did try. I walked through the park and stopped in the middle. I decided to look for him there. And there was still no sign of him. I sighed. Then someone poked me from behind. I turned around and saw him. I found him. Wait, no, he found me.

"Hey, are you alright?" he asked me.

"Yeah" I nodded.

"I forgot to tell you my name." I said. At the same time, he said,

"You didn't tell me your name." we both laughed.

"Mercy." I offered my hand for him to shake and he did.

After that, we decided to play tag. I was always it. He was faster than me. On the 7th time of being it, I asked him to change the game since it wasn't fair. So we played hide and seek. This time, he was always it. I was really good at hiding. Then we got tired so we decided to eat ice cream. I didn't bring any money 'cause I didn't think I needed it. So, he bought me one. It was delicious. My hand slipped and the ice cream fell on him. I was afraid he'd get mad but he didn't. Instead, he threw his at me and laughed.

"Now we're even." He said.

He was right. We both didn't have ice cream to eat anymore and we both had our shirts covered in chocolate. It was in that moment that I knew Brett was my friend.
