Chapter Four

The four arrived at the hospital in a rush the twins practically skipped in excitement, the two came to an abrupt halt seeing the sheriff talking to a nurse "You're right, he's waking up." Henry gushed, the girl grinned at her twin before whirling around to her birth mother.

Graham turned around "Henry, Amelia, you should stay back." the girl frowned "What's going on, is it John Doe, is he ok?" Mary Margret asked as she stopped beside the two. He sighed glancing between her and Emma "He's missing."

He turned back to the room and the twins tilted their heads slightly seeing Regina, Amelia turned to
Henry "What is she doing here?" she asked quietly, the boy shrugged as the adoptive mother walked out of the room toward the group.

"What the hell are you doing here?" The mayor asked glaring at the blonde before gripping Henry's arm "And you two, I thought you were at the arcade, now you're lying to me?" she continued, Amelia moved closer to her brother protectively.

"What happened to John Doe, did someone take him?" Mary Margret asked the sheriff bringing the girl's eyes to the woman briefly, "We don't know yet." Graham spoke rubbing a hand under his chin.

Regina straightened up eyes snapping to the woman as the man continued "His IVs were ripped out, but there's no sign for sure there was a struggle."

Henry glared at his mother ripping his arm from her grip "What did you do?" Regina glanced at him eyes softening in hurt "You think I had something to do with this?" she demanded, Emma folded her arms "It is curious the mayor is here."

"I'm here because I'm his emergency contact." the woman told her, Mary Margaret took a tiny step forward "You know him?", she raked her eyes over the teacher in disgust "I found him on the side of the road years ago with no ID, I brought him here."

Whale stepped up to the group Marigold behind him "Mayor Mills saved his life." he said, "Will he be okay?" the raven-haired woman asked immediately, the doctor narrowed his eyes "Okay? The man's been on feeding tubes for years under constant supervision, he needs to get back here right away, or quite honestly, 'okay' might be a pipe dream."

Emma unfolded her arms "Well then, let's quit yappin' and start looking." she turned around beginning to walk away when Regina's voice cut through "That's what we're doing, just stay out of this, dear." the blonde rolled her eyes "And since I clearly can't keep you away from my son, I guess I'm just going to have to keep my son away from you, enjoy my shirt because that's all you're getting."

She took Henry's hand and walked past them, she turned back to the sheriff "Sheriff, find John Doe, you heard Dr. Whale, time is precious." the two exited the room, Amelia looked away and then at her birth mother.

Graham sighed turning to Whale "Doctor, how long between your rounds since you last saw him?" he thought for a moment "12 hours or so." the man nodded "Then that's what we need to account for."

Amelia followed them into the security room as the sheriff asked the guards questions "You two were the only employees on the floor last night, and you saw nothing?" Graham asked the two security guards, Walter yawned before answering "Not a thing."

Emma sighed "Did anybody walk by?" Leroy shrugged lightly "I didn't see nothing." Amelia glanced around the room feeling boredom rise in her as Graham turned to Mary Margret "Miss Blanchard, was there anything unusual you saw during your trip with your class?"
