Kathryn and David stood outside their house at night, there was a welcome home banner hanging above the door, the woman turned to him "You know, you had that same look on your face before we bought it, too, you couldn't see past the ugly windmill on the lawn and said you'd never buy an old lady house, do you remember what made you change your mind?"

He looked around slightly "Well, I see the windmill's gone." she looked down disappointed before taking his hand in hers "Come on, everyone's waiting." he frowned turning to her "Who's everyone?" she didn't say anything as she led him u to the house and opening the door where everyone inside began to cheer happy to see the man was okay, he swallowed slightly as he glanced around the room that was packed with most of the town residents not recognising anyone.

She squeezed his hand slightly as she led him towards a group of men "This is Gene." the man smiled as he shook the man's hand "Good to see you, David." David smiled back at him "How are you doing?" Kathryn squeezed his arm "And this is Ellen, his wife." "Ellen, hi." he said as he shook her hand "Good to see you, too."

"And Frank." the wife introduced, the man smiled "Welcome home, David." the man who had just woken from the coma smiled although apprehensively "Hey." and Dr Whale who had been stood nearby smiled at the two "Hey." Kathryn grasped his hand "Dr Whale." she let go and the man shook hands with David "Hi David." "Hi." he smiled back slightly as his hand dropped.

"Look, I know this is a lot, but it's good for you, the smallest things can trigger your memories. Just try and have fun." the doctor told him and the man who nodded "Thank you, Dr Whale, I'll do my best." Amelia watched from her place on the dench in front of the stairs, her legs crossed under her as Henry and Emma sat beside her, she looked over at the two "You know why he doesn't remember, the curse isn't working on him yet."

The mother turned to them a sigh escaping her, "Henry, Amelia, David has amnesia." the boy sighed "Which is preventing the curse from replacing his fairy tale story with fake memories." the blonde stared between the two, "Right, because everyone here has fake stories that prevent them from remembering who they really are."

"Right, and now's our chance to help him." Henry began, Amelia nodded slightly "We just have to get him to remember that he's-" Emma sighed "He's Prince Charming." "We just have to jog his memory by getting him and Ms Blanchard together." the girl said, the mother's brows furrowed slightly as leaned closer to the two "Didn't we just try that?"

The boy shrugged smirk on his lips "And it woke him up." the woman's brows lifted, David walked over to the family and the twins shared a look "Hey, you're the ones who saved me, right?" Emma laughed slightly as she stood up facing him "Oh, yeah, I guess." he glanced down towards the twins as the boy rose as well, the girl simply sending him a small wave as she placed her chin in her hand "And, uh, you're also the only one's I know here." he said.

Emma smiled at him "You can hide with us." a man walked over holding a tray of appetizers and David picked up a toothpick stabbing the food with it twirling the food slightly, Amelia perked up slightly as she smirked at him "So, you ever use a sword." he laughed turning to her "I'm sorry." her brows rose like she was waiting for an answer as Emma glanced at her laughing along with the man.

He turned to Emma "Emma, you live with Mary Margaret, right, you know if she's coming tonight?" her head shook slightly "No, she couldn't make it." "Oh." he spoke looking dejected, Henry turned to his twin with a smile both of them knowing the couple wouldn't take long join together again.
