3rd person pov:

The morning sun glinted off the fresh layer of snow outside the cabin, making everything look like it was straight out of a postcard. The group was already stirring, groggily waking up to the sound of Kylie banging on a pan.

“Wake up, sleepyheads!” she shouted. “We’re having the ultimate snowball fight today. No one is skipping out!”

Josh, still half-asleep, threw a pillow in her direction.
“Why do you have so much energy this early?”

“Because it’s snowball fight day!” Kylie grinned. “Come on, lazybones, get moving!”

Soon, everyone was bundled up and trudging through the snow, their breath visible in the icy air. Ruby stomped her feet to warm up.
“This better be worth it, Kylie.”

“Oh, it will be,” she replied with a wink.

They divided into two teams: Team Chaos—Kylie, Ruby, Josh, and Peder—and Team Frost—Morgan, Malia, and Tristan. The teams gathered behind their respective snow forts, hastily built with whatever they could scrape together.

Malia was already crafting a perfect snowball, her eyes scanning the battlefield.
“Okay, Frosties,” she said, strategizing. “Morgan and Tristan, you distract them. I’ll sneak around and hit them from the side.”

On the other side, Peder was taking charge.
“Alright, Chaos Crew,” he began, rubbing his gloved hands together. “We need to overpower them with sheer volume. No mercy!”

Ruby rolled her eyes but laughed. “You sound like you’re leading an army.”

“Exactly,” Peder grinned. “This is war.”

The fight kicked off with snowballs flying through the air. Morgan ducked behind a tree as Peder launched a perfectly aimed shot that missed her by inches. Kylie, meanwhile, dashed out from behind their fort, pelting Malia with snowballs while laughing maniacally.

“Come on, Malia! Is that all you’ve got?” she taunted.

Malia smirked, crafting two snowballs and hitting Kylie square in the chest.
“Not even close,” she replied.

Peder was proving to be a formidable opponent, his aim precise as he managed to hit both Tristan and Morgan in quick succession.
“Two down!” he called triumphantly, raising his arms like a champion.

But Morgan wasn’t about to let him off the hook. She rolled a massive snowball and hurled it at Peder, knocking him off balance.
“Not so fast, Chaos King,” she teased.

Meanwhile, Josh and Ruby were on defense, trying to keep Team Frost from advancing too far. Ruby aimed for Tristan but missed, accidentally hitting Malia instead.

“Really, Ruby?” Malia said, shaking the snow off her hat.

“Sorry! It’s harder than it looks!” Ruby yelled back.

After nearly an hour of chaos, the battle came down to Malia and Peder. The two circled each other, the rest of the group cheering them on from the sidelines. Malia held a snowball in each hand, her stance confident.

“Think you can win this, Peder?” she asked, raising an eyebrow.

“I know I can,” he replied, crafting a snowball as quickly as possible.

They both lunged at the same time, snow flying everywhere. The rest of the group erupted in laughter as Peder tripped over his own feet, falling into the snow. Malia stood victorious, raising her arms like a true champion.

“I told you, Team Frost doesn’t lose,” she said, smirking.

The group eventually called a truce and collapsed into the snow, breathless and grinning. The sky was streaked with orange and pink as the sun began to set, painting the snowy landscape in warm colors.

“We’re doing this again tomorrow,” Kylie declared, still laughing.

Back at the cabin, everyone changed into dry clothes and gathered around the roaring fireplace. Ruby passed around mugs of hot chocolate, and the room filled with the comforting sound of laughter and chatter.

“To snowball fights!” Peder said, raising his mug.

“And to surviving Kylie’s energy,” Josh added, earning a laugh from the group.

The night ended in peace, with the snow falling softly outside as they sat together, grateful for the simple joy of being surrounded by friends.
