CHAPTER - 16

ABHI'S POV:

Now it's time for the evening party to start. 

The whole Rathore mansion garden was decorated elegantly with flowers and shining lights.

There were many businessmen, politicians and few prominent figures of society with their families in garden adorning themselves in black outfits since the theme of the party is black.

After having final glance in the mirror, I left my room with Avy. I saw all my family members except elder men in the hall waiting for me. The elder men of our family were already in the garden receiving the guests.

Dadi and Dadu also came from the village to bless me and spend some time with us. I also saw Roohi, Sony and my Sona, Mayu coming out from Sony room laughing among themselves. Roohi and Sony are wearing black bodycon dresses and whereas my Mayu is wearing a Black top with cream colour skirt with black and golden embroidery as the border of the skirt and just like that I lost in her enchanting smile and expressive face.

I felt a hand on my shoulder and when I turned I saw it is Neha wearing a black colour bodycon dress barely covering her mid thighs. II mentally thought "oh god, someone please come to save me". While I was mentally thinking my ways to escape I felt someone hugging and it is Neha muttering  "Looking handsome as always baby" to me. WTF did she just call me baby? damn hell, it is only my Mayu's right. I immediately pushed her off me saying "Don't, Don't ever call me like that, only person who have the right to call me that is the person I love". She is looking at me angrily and I turned my eyes off her to everyone and saw all the family members are busy in their respective works and my idiot friend Avy is busy in flirting with his love Sony, and my love is still talking with my baby sister. I'm still looking at them and at the same time Mayu turned her head maybe feeling my gaze and our eyes met and I'm lost in her and she raised her eyebrows like asking 'what happened?' and I shook my head with a smile like saying 'nothing'.

Ma called me saying "Abhi beta idhar aao aur bhagavan ji aashirwad lo" I went there and everyone followed me there and after taking bhagavan ji's aaashirvad, I took blessings from my Dadu, Dadi followed by mom, dad and chachu, chachi and my both bua's and fufa's. Later we all went out into the party and all the invitees came to me and wished me and some were having few business talks.  I saw into the crowd and I couldn't find my Mayu and I'm worried as she don't know anyone here, after looking here and there I found her going to a silent corner with a phone in her hand maybe she is searching for silent corner to talk and before I could go to her a couple came to wish me and I just couldn't leave as they are our clients and I was talking to them.

AUTHOR'S POV: 

Mayuka is standing beside Sony as she asked her to stick to her as Mayuka don't know anyone there. Sony was called by her parents to introduce to some business partners so Sony told to Mayuka "Mayu just do minute mein abhi aayi" and went from there. Mayuka was silently witnessing how Sony's parents are proudly introducing her to everyone and how Roohi is being fed food by her mom and dadi and how Neha's mom is setting her hairstyle and seeing these all Mayuka felt like talking with her parents and to feel some parental love and she found a silent corner where the soothing music in the party is dimmed and opened her contacts to dial her mom with a lot of hope to feel loved and after dialing she took her mobile near her ear and  was eagerly waiting for the call to be picked on the other end. After a lot of anticipation the call got picked and Mayuka was saying "hello ma, ho.." before Mayuka could even ask 'how are you?' she was rudely cut by her mom in middle saying "Bas, why did you call us now? what did you do now? Did your college expelled you from college? I guess, it is that only right, what to even expect from you? Don't even come home now and also don't call us baar baar." saying that her mom cut the call. Mayuka opened her mom to say 'no mom, I called you to just feel your love' but before she could say anything she listened a beep sound indicating the call was already cut. She felt her eyes burning and she let her tears to fall freely unknown with the fact that someone is watching her.
