CHAPTER-8

MAYUKA'S POV:

Oh god! I can't believe Avi is Abhimanyu's best friend and Arnav bhaiya is Alok jiju's best friend. I mean this whole Rathod family is close to our family. I felt an urge to inform about this to my parents. It's such a blissful feeling to find a close aquaint but here I found a family which is family friends to ours.

As soon as we completed our lunch everyone moved to hall. I excused myself from them to call my mom and inform her about my newly found information.

I called her and she picked after few more rings.

M- for mayuka, mo for mayuka's mother.

M-   hi mom, how are you?

Mo-  fine Mayu, how are you?

M- good mom. I came to my roommate Sony's home for my weekend.

Mo- oh okay. Don't speak much  like you always do.

I felt hurt with my mom's words but still I continued.

M-   Mom you know what, I just
        found that thes..
Mo- Mayu, since you gonna say
        something it will be definitely
        not important I guess. I'll call
        you later. Siddu just came
        home. So I've too look after him

M-  ok mom. Call me when you are
       free.

I clearly know that my mom will not call back me. This is not the first time. It always happens. Siddu is my cousin brother, but he has been my parents' favourite and priority from the beginning. How excited I was to share this news with them, but all my excitement was gone and turned into a type of depression. I want to be someone's priority; I want someone who listens to me without complaining. But I think I can never meet such person in this life. With these thoughts my eyes became teary and I immediately stopped my waterworks and kept my always carefree expression on my face in which I'm expert at. I'm very good at hiding my feelings, no one can understand what I feel inside. But after the call I lost my cheerfulness.

I was about to go inside but Abhi came towards me and asked "what happened Mayu? Is everything ok? "  I immediately nodded at him by looking down.

i can't tell my problems to anyone I'm not habituated of sharing my issues, I don't how others will react first of all why anyone will listen to me? when my own parents won't. 

"If you wanna share anything I'm all ears" he told me. But I won't share as he is just saying it out of formality.

"Nothing that one should worry about. Let's get going in everyone is inside "I told while giving him a tight-lipped smile. 

Thank God he didn't argue and coming inside but I don't why and when he came out, I asked him to come inside but I don't know whether his work is done or not, he's coming inside along with me since I asked him, he might had coming in out of formality. Such a dumb fellow I am, maybe that is why my parents don't like to talk to me or care about me. After gathering some courage, I turned to him and asked, "is your work completed? " 

He looked at me confused, so I thought of giving him some clarity "you are coming inside with me since I asked you, but you might had come out for some work right, is that work completed?"

He was looking at me like thinking what to answer but answered before my overthinkingness overcome my mind and blame me for forcing, that "yeah, I was supposed to send a message due to network issue I've to come out. But it was completed as soon as I came out, but I found you there so I thought of waiting for you, that we can go inside together.

I smiled at him thankfully for his thoughtfullness and replied "that's so thoughtful of you and thank you for waiting for me." 

He replied "you are thanking me for waiting for you, but I thought we are friends and friends wait for each other and 'no sorry, no thankyou in friendship' ever heard about that" he told  the starting part dramatically like he is hurt and last part like teasing me.
