CHAPTER - 9

Mayukas pov:

The morning sun rose into the sky disturbing our sleep and pushing us into our weekly routine. Today me, Sony, Avi and Abhi are going back to our college. Actually all we are hostlers.

Soon we completed our breakfast and moved towards the car waiting in which driving seat was already occupied by Abhi. Sony came and settled at backseat and I was about to open the backseat door but Avi came to me and asked "Mayu, can you sit in the front seat. Please, don't refuse " while rubbing his backside neck, hesitancy clear in his voice but hope filled in his eyes which made me to sit in front seat.

"Ok" I told with hesitancy and confusion filled voice and opened front seat passenger door and settled myself comfortably.

I turned towards Abhi with a smile on my lips but I found him grinning ear to ear and trying to hide his smile from me. I didn't think much about it and soon the wheels of the car hit the roads and started towards our college.

When I turned back to ask something, the scene which I saw made me shock and pushed me towards the well of suspicions. Because Sony's and Avi's fingers were interwined and Avi staring at Sony continuously while she's trying to hide her blush but little she know that it was clearly visible.

Now I can definitely say that there is something going between them but I won't ask them and wait for them to tell me, as I feel I have some importance in their life they'll  definitely share with me before anyone else.

I elbowed Abhi to grab his attention and I was successful in it. He looked at me and raised his eyebrows and mouthed 'what' to which I simply signalled him to look back. He looked at them turned with a captivating smile on his face.

I asked him "is there something I don't know and you are aware of? "

Abhi's smile dropped and went into some quick thought and replied "no, even I don't have any idea. " with a tightlip smile and without looking at me.

With all these thoughts running in my mind, I didn't realize when we reached our college. Since it was time for our classes me and Sony bid them bye and came to our classes. We planned to meet after our classes daily.

The days are passing in a blur and my routine was going to college, going to library, coming hostel having dinner and meeting Mayank
and then meeting our batch i. e  Sony, Avi and Abhi of course.

Today is no special day with the same routine until I'm returning back to hostel from library.

When I was returning, Shalini one of my classmates came to me and asked for my notes and I told that I'll give her at night. She asked "are you going to hostel Mayuka? "

I replied "yeah" with a smile.

"If you don't mind, can I come with you? I'm going to hostel too. " Shalini asked.

"Yeah, of course. No need to ask permission. " I told her with a smile and we both started walking to our hostel while chatting on random topics.

"Mayuka, can I ask you something? " Shalini asked me.

"Common yaar, we were talking for a long now and still you are asking permission? " I asked whining at her permission asking nature.

"It is something personal maybe that's why. " She told.

I squinted my eyes at her in confusion but nodded my head to ask.

"You, Sony, Avi are best friends right? " She asked.

"Yeah, but I don't think this question is something serious. " I told her in confusion.

"My question is not completed yet. Don't disturb in middle. " She whined.
