Vandhana's POV:
"I did."
I said and felt him holding my hand tighter.
I couldn't express how I felt. These 2 weeks without him... Everything felt so dull. So colourless. I didn't know he was about to come back but when he did.... I was overjoyed, confused and shocked altogether.
I kept massaging his scalp gently. I know he loves it. I silently stared at him while he talked about his trip.
I couldn't help but smile at the slight frown he had on his face as he talked about the endless work he had to do. He was clearly annoyed by it. Like a petulant child.
Once finished with his rant, he sighed and finally looked at me.
"But whatever it is. I'm glad that I came back to you."
He said and I chuckled, nodding my head.
Even I was glad having him back.
We were silent for a moment. No words exchanged between us but a thousand emotions speaking through our eyes. And then I suddenly remembered something.
The temple!
"You remember that we have to visit the temple tomorrow, right?"
He furrowed, thinking for a moment before raising his eyebrows and nodding slowly.
"Yeah... I forgot about that."
I looked out of the balcony and it was already dark. I again looked down at him.
"It's dark... We should sleep if we have to go."
He looks at the balcony too and nods, getting up and laying down straight, more comfortably. I lay beside him and he snuggled closer. Soon, we both drifted off to sleep.
Abhimanyu's POV:
Next Morning:
I woke up, feeling the sun shining on my face. My eyes flutter open. I blinked a few times to adjust to the light.
As I stretched and looked towards my right, I found the bed empty, as expected.
I sighed and closed my eyes, mentally preparing for the day ahead. Finally, sitting up, I scratched the back of my head, yawning.
I wasn't ready for another exhausting day. Not after those tiresome 2 weeks away from home.
I heard the bathroom door open and my head snapped up towards it. And suddenly, all the exhaustion seemed to fade away as I took in the sight before me.
My eyes locked on her. Vandhana. She stood infront of me in a pink suit which looked light but yet looked so exquisite on her.
I sat frozen for a moment, eyes filled with admiration as my gaze travelled up and down her body, adoring the masterpiece before me.
I got off the bed slowly, walking towards her and wrapping an arm around her waist.
My other hand came up towards her face and my thumb caressed her cheek. It took all my restraint to not just pick her up and lock her in my room forever. Until my last breath.
Her beauty is pure and untainted, like the soft glow of dawn. Her eyes, wide and bright, reflect a quiet wonder at the world around her, filled with a natural innocence that draws others in. Her skin, soft and fair, seems to radiate a delicate glow, untouched by time or worry. Her face carries a gentle expression, with rosy cheeks that hint at a sweetness. The stray strands of her hair framing her face in a way that complements her youthful charm. The way she smiles, shy yet sincere, is a rare kind of beauty—one that comes from within, evoking warmth and a sense of peace. Her presence feels like a breath of fresh air, untouched by harshness.
