Harry's words snatched the spirit of alcohol in my body, leaving me white as a paper. I opened my mouth to talk but the words wouldn't come out.
Jade, say something!
"What happened, Jade?" Harry asked, his serious gaze burying deep in my eyes. "Cat got your tongue?"
I tried to speak, to utter anything, but it was hopeless. I quickly removed my seat belt with my trembling hands and reached for the door. I need to get out of here. Now.
But the door wouldn't open.
Shit. He locked them.
"You won't go anywhere until you give me an acceptable reason for what you did," he said, his voice full of authority and threat.
And anger.
I glanced at him, and he was the complete opposite of the Harry I used to know. He was gentle and sweet earlier but now he looked cocky and pissed.
"Are you going to speak or I'll let the police do their job?" he threatened, not removing his gaze from me.
I swallowed thickly, my throat burning. "I.....Is this a kind of joke?" I stuttered, trying to show that I wasn't scared for my life.
He snickered sourly. "You got a really angelic face, Jade. But that face won't save you this time."
My heart jumped a little with his compliment, but my brain slapped my delusions away.
Jesus Christ, Jade. Don't focus on the compliment, save your fucking ass!
"I don't know what you're talking about," I told him, my heart hammering in my throat. "Unlock the door or I'll scream."
He pulled something from his seat. Sheets of papers.
He looked at me with his hard eyes, then started to read what's on the paper. "Harvey started to undress her, then dived right away to her breasts. He sucked on her nipples, while she clutched on his curly hair, gripping on them as her back arched in pleasure. He lifted his head, gazing at her with his sparkling, green eyes. He flashed a smile, a smile of threat about the sweet treat that was about to come."
My heart dropped on my ass.
What the actual fuck? How did he get his hands on my story???
What the hell is happening? Is this a dream??? A nightmare???I wanted to throw up. My head was running in circles and I couldn't feel my breathing.
Harry returned his hard eyes on me. "You write good, Jade," he crowed, his face still expressionless. "You described me really well."
"I...I....I don't know what you're talking about," I denied.
He shook his head slowly in disappointment. "There's no point in lying, sweetheart."
"I'm not lying," I croaked.
"Really?" he jeered, pulling something from his seat again. "Look what I found outside your window frame."
I stared helplessly at the spy camera he was holding. How on earth?
Jesus Mary Joseph. Please just let the earth swallow me now. Please.
"Wondering how I discovered your shenanigans, Reckless Vixen?"
SHIT.
I just wanted to die when he addressed me with my pen name. I hoped someone would just stab me with a rough knife, or shot me in the head. I wanted to disappear. I flicked my fingers, hoping that I would vanish like Dobby.
