The snow was thick and fresh from the storm that happened last night. This was Sans' first taste of freedom since the C.O.R.E shock, and boy, did it taste good. Papyrus was running ahead, doubling back, then running ahead again. He was excited and wanted to go farther, but Sans insisted that he stay in sight. He didn't wanna lose his little bro, and with his reoccurring dreams about getting shot and killed, plus his history with humans... he was reasonably terrified of losing his brother. But there was still the four point star, which was a mystery he desperately wanted to solve... he wasn't sure why, though. "So, where are we headed in this desolate and boring town of yours?" Gaster drawled, also rather excited to finally escape from 'guard duty'. Sans took offense immediately. "woah, hey, snowdin is not boring. if you think otherwise, then obviously you haven't been to the right places!" He argued before starting to list off the fun things in Snowdin. "you've got ice skating, snowman building, angel making, cinnabons, the best playground in the world, grillby's, the library, grillby's, the secret tunnel, grillby's-"
"You just said Grillby's three times, Sans."
"i really miss grillby's."

They made it to their snowman making spot where Papyrus was halfway through making a snow Papyrus. It was well packed and never seemed to fall apart, unlike Sans' own creation, which was once more nothing but a pile of snow that was broken down by the weather. Oh well, he could use a nap, anyway. "I'm Sorry Your's Keeps Breaking, Brother..." Papyrus apologized when he saw the sad excuse of a snowman. "Maybe If You Pack It In More, It Won't Fall Apart?" He suggested. His innocent expression was quickly replaced by a frown as Sans wore a very specific grin that he did not like. "snow worries, bro. it captures my essence perfectly." He fell back in the pile with a massive mischievous grin. "see how it catches me perfectly for prime napping -" Papyrus shrieked, and Sans froze as something flashed through his mind and escaped just as quickly. "YOU CANNOT USE YOUR CONDITION AS AN EXCUSE ANY MORE, SANS, I SWEAR BY THE STARS ABOVE, YOU'VE JUST GOTTEN LAZY!!!" Gaster crouched by Papyrus, hushing him while Sans looked around for an unseen threat. She was out there. He saw it. "How about we go to Grillby's?"

Papyrus would've normally started to complain by now, but he seemed to pick up on what Gaster had and stayed close to Sans, and he led them slowly back to town. "Sans... what are you searching for?" Gaster asked as Sans scanned the area over and over. "she's out there..." Gaster gave an unamused look. "She being..?" He asked. "gaster, i wanna learn to use one of your weapons." Gaster turned his head so fast his neck audibly popped, and Papyrus flinched. There was no reaction from Sans. "maybe if i learned how to use it... i could stop her without anyone getting hurt..." Gaster seemed to piece things together, his confusion growing. He decided to try his luck with hands, so they wouldn't scare Papyrus with their conversation, and Sans had been learning. "Do you mean a human? Trust me when I say, there is no human, Sans. One of my assistants would've called if they saw a human on the monitor." Sans followed the signs with a growing frown. "i know what i saw, doc. she's out there. i at least want to learn to defend myself if a human does fall. Sans argued.

Gaster sighed and bought Sans and Papyrus another round of milkshakes. It seemed the sugar and dance helped to calm Sans a little, and Gaster allowed Papyrus to pester him to keep his mind distracted while the scientist went over how to integrate a blaster into Sans magic and determination. All in all, the process would be rather quick and relatively painless. It would help Sans funnel all that extra magic he's been gathering, too, since his body probably wasn't used to having all that magic. Granted, all the extra sleep was keeping his low HP rather stable. Infact, even though his stats stated he had only 1 HP, he begged to argue that the rest and care he received from Gaster raised his HP by 10. Of course, he certainly wasn't going to test that theory- if it proved false Sans most certainly would die, and Gaster didn't want that for his kin. His phone started to ring, breaking Gaster from his thoughts as he answered the device. "Dr. Gaster speaking." It was Muzc's voice on the other line. "We got another one, doc. There's another soul in the Underground."

Gaster's eyelights burned into Sans as played and danced with Papyrus near the jukebox. How had he known? Sans had insisted there was a human out there, and Gaster had dismissed it, but now there really was a human out there. How could Sans have ever known? Unless it was something to do with his determination. Gaster often had dreams of the life of the child who's determination was implanted in him. They gave him the means to preserver through the worst of times, like with Sans, seemed to boost his instincts and magic, plus he found that his hand summons couple copy other magic types. What if one of the two types of determination in his soul gave him the ability to see into the future? What had been his words again? I know what I saw? It was certainly something he was intrigued about, even if it made his subordinate a little jumpy. He would have to breach the subject carefully with him. For now, while the guard hunted her, he would allow Sans to remain blissfully unaware of the situation. They could discuss the human and the blasters once Sans has returned to work tomorrow.
