Caitlin adjusted the tiny green and gold jersey on Y/n's small frame, smiling as the toddler squirmed in her seat. Katie knelt in front of Y/n, brushing a strand of her soft brown hair out of her face.

"Alright, baby girl," Katie said in her lilting Irish accent, "are you ready to see your Mama Caitlin play?"

Y/n nodded shyly, her wide eyes fixed on the soccer ball Katie held in her hands.

Katie leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss to Y/n's forehead. "Good girl. You're going to love it."

Caitlin chuckled, picking up Y/n and settling her on her hip. "You think she'll make it through the whole game?"

"She'll do great," Katie assured her. "And I'll be right here to keep her company. Now go on—you're going to be late for warmups."

Caitlin kissed Y/n's cheek before handing her back to Katie. "Wish me luck, bub."

Y/n gave a tiny wave, watching as Caitlin jogged off toward the field.

Katie found her seat in the stands, Y/n nestled in her lap. The noise of the crowd was overwhelming, but Katie kept Y/n close, whispering reassurances in her ear. Y/n clung to her tightly, her tiny hands gripping Katie's shirt.

When the Matildas ran onto the field, the crowd erupted in cheers. Y/n flinched, burying her face in Katie's chest.

"Shh, it's alright, sweetheart," Katie murmured, rubbing soothing circles on Y/n's back. "That's just everyone cheering for Mama Caitlin and her team."

Y/n peeked out cautiously, her eyes lighting up when she spotted Caitlin waving in their direction. She pointed a small finger at the field. "Mama!"

Katie grinned. "That's right, love. That's your Mama."

The Matildas celebrated their win with laughter and hugs as they made their way off the field. Caitlin jogged over to where Katie and Y/n were waiting near the edge of the stands.

Katie crouched down, holding Y/n's hand as Caitlin approached. "Guess who wants to see you?" Katie said, her voice soft.

"Mama!" Y/n squealed, reaching for Caitlin.

Caitlin scooped her up, spinning her gently before cradling her in her arms. "Hey, bub. Did you enjoy the game?"

Y/n nodded, her face lighting up. "You win!"

"We did," Caitlin said proudly, kissing her on the forehead.

The rest of the team, curious about Caitlin's interaction with the toddler, began to gather around.

"Uh, Cait? Care to explain?" Kyra asked, crossing her arms with a smirk.

Caitlin glanced at Katie, who gave her an encouraging nod.

"This is Y/n," Caitlin began. "Katie and I adopted her two months ago."

The team erupted into cheers and exclamations of surprise.

"Are you kidding me?" Steph said, grinning ear to ear. "She's adorable!"

Kyra knelt down to Y/n's level, offering a fist bump. "Hey there, kiddo. I'm Kyra. You like soccer?"

Y/n hesitated, then gave a tiny nod, her shyness starting to fade under the team's warm smiles.

Mini leaned closer, her voice gentle. "Hi, Y/n. I'm Mini. You're going to love hanging out with us."

Alanna chimed in, "We're all your aunties now, okay?"

Y/n looked up at Caitlin, who smiled and nodded.

Katie, standing beside Caitlin, couldn't hide her smile. "We wanted to wait until she felt more comfortable before introducing her to everyone. But seeing how happy she is now, we knew it was the right time."

As the team gathered around, taking turns introducing themselves and cooing over Y/n, the little girl began to relax, even giggling when Kyra pretended to trip over a soccer ball to make her laugh.

Caitlin held Y/n close, her heart swelling with pride as she watched her teammates welcome their newest, tiniest fan with open arms.

Katie wrapped an arm around Caitlin's waist, resting her head on her shoulder. "She's got the best family in the world now," Katie said softly.

Caitlin kissed the top of Y/n's head, smiling as the toddler leaned sleepily against her. "Yeah, she does."
