Eclipse's POV
As I leave the room, I hear the alarms blaring. I need to move quickly. I recognize the hallway ahead; if I go down this path, I’ll find an exit. I hurry, but then I hear someone approaching. It's a young woman, likely a worker from Bonnie's Bowl. She’s in a hurry, but I can’t help wondering why she’s rushing.
'Why is she in such a hurry? I mean, yeah, the last time these alarms went off, things got bad, but only one person died...' I think to myself as I keep my distance.
Then I see Foxy. His hook gleams in the light as he moves toward the woman. I remain hidden, watching. "Please, no! I didn’t do anything! I don’t have the kid!" she pleads, terrified. Her voice shakes with desperation, but it's clear she’s hoping she won’t die.
I watch in shock as Foxy moves too quickly for me to process at first, his hook driving into the woman's chest. Slowly, he drags it down. "Sorry, lassie, but I can’t take a bet. Not again," he says coldly as the woman falls, her eyes still wide in shock. He lifts his foot and smashes her skull, then walks down the hallway whistling a tune as he searches for me.
For my own safety, I decide to head in the opposite direction. I don’t want to die. 'I’m not going to die. I don’t want to die. Not again.' I think as I quickly move down a different hallway, further away from any exits. It’s not the best choice, but it’s safer. The lights are so bright it hurts my eyes, and my tail twitches nervously as I feel exhaustion creeping in. But I can’t stop. I need to find a way out.
I stop by a machine for a brief moment. As I catch my breath, I hear someone approaching. Quickly, I hide behind the machine. I watch as a man runs for his life, only to be pursued by Roxanne. Her form is twisted, her mouth opening in four ways—up, down, side to side—her jaw splitting open like a grotesque muzzle. I know the man doesn't stand a chance.
I can’t help but wince as Roxanne jumps on him, holding him down.
"Please, it wasn't me! I didn't even touch the kid, I swear! Please don’t—" The man begs, but it’s too late. I can smell the oil from his hands, and Roxanne's jaw opens wide. I hear him scream as she cracks his skull with one bite, swallowing it whole.
She licks her lips, leaving the man's body behind. It’s almost too much to witness. She disappears, and I wait, my heart pounding, hoping she won’t come back. I know she’s looking for me. She doesn’t want me to end up like her family.
'Fuck, fuck. I’ll die if they find me. I don’t want to die like that. It always hurts...' I think, my tail flicking nervously behind me. I move quickly toward a nearby vent, trying to stay as quiet as possible. But my anxiety makes my tail twitch, betraying me.
Soon, I see Moon. He’s holding an employee by the neck with his tail. His voice is cold, but somehow familiar.
“Now I’m only going to ask you one more time—where the hell is my nephew?” Moon asks, his tone sharp, almost like a predator.
“I don’t know, sir!” The employee gasps, struggling to breathe as Moon tightens his grip.
I watch as Moon’s eyes go cold—so cold, just like I remember. With one last squeeze, the employee goes limp. Then Moon uses the sharp end of his tail to slice open the body, drawing a small dot of blood on the wall.
Moon leaves, and I wait, not daring to move. When I feel it’s safe, I quietly slip out of the vent, my body moving cautiously down the hallway. What I witnessed still haunts me. I’m used to blood, but even I think that was too much.
I continue searching for an exit when I hear a voice—Sun. Suddenly, I feel myself being picked up. Sun is holding me tightly, and I can hear the relief in his voice as he speaks to me.
“Oh, my baby, I was so worried. Are you okay?” Sun says, his voice softer than I’ve ever heard. I look at him, confused, as his tail wraps around me protectively. It feels... safe.
I can’t process it. Why does he care so much? Why does he sound so different?
As he carries me, I hear him say something that catches me completely off guard.
“I love you, Eclipse.”
I freeze, not understanding. Why would he say that? Why doesn’t he hate me? My mind races.
'He what? Those three little words—completely out of the blue, completely uncalled for, especially from him. Why doesn’t he hate me? Why does he care?' My thoughts spiral, confusion flooding my mind. 'Can't He yelled at me? Isn’t that fair? Where’s his glare?'
I’m cut off as I feel Sun gently pet my back, and suddenly, my eyelids grow heavy. I feel myself relax in his arms, drifting off to sleep. Tears start to fall, but I don’t understand why. Why doesn’t he hate me? Why does he love me?
