'How long has it been?' It feels like only minutes, but it could have been hours. Death doesn’t make time any easier to understand. I realize now that Sun had the cannon in his hands, but I let myself get too confident—again.

These thoughts drift through my mind as I lie here in the void, trapped in this endless darkness.

'Solar Flare is gone.' I think he moved on, but I can’t. I’m stuck here. The darkness won’t let me leave. 'Why couldn’t I have been smarter? Why didn’t I see the cannon? Why didn’t I just wait?' I look around, but all I see is nothing. No one. Just empty, cold darkness.

'What was that noise?' Nothing else should be here. But it’s too dark to see anything. 'Come on, Eclipse. You’re smarter than this.' My eyes search the void, and then—I spot something. 'Wait… is that a star?'

I move towards it, reaching out, and the moment I touch it, my eyes close. My body collapses, but something changes. My soul… it feels different. It no longer feels cold. It's warm—the warmth of life.

As I lie on the ground, I don’t yet realize that my soul is entering a body from another universe. A new life, in a new place. Maybe this time, I’ll get a happy ending.
