"She's silent..."

A little after they left azzi appears infront of me. "what happened lex?" she questioned looking at me with concern.

i bite my lip and the tears start to fall. "oh no." she hugs me and i full blown sob.

azzi takes me to my bed and cuddle while i continue to cry.

once i was done we sat in silence for a little before she started talking. "what happened?"

i tell her everything. she listened the whole time not cutting me off.

"so you want her to know how you feel correct?" i nod my head.

"but you already have problems with talking about your feelings?" i nod again.

"and since that moment you're more terrified to talk because you think it's already fucked up?" i sigh and nod once again.

i hear her sigh before she moves so she can look at me.

"and that's okay. all feelings are valid. what happened is just a minor set back. i know you want to talk now and get it over with but you gotta have patience."

"you have to wait till you feel like it's the right time to talk. maybe that be now, after the game, or even in a week but you have to make the decision of when." she tells me.

"i'm sorry this is how it's happening but sometimes not everything will go smoothly. but i believe in you and her." she ends with a small smile.

i give a tiny smile in return. "it's gonna be okay." she whispers and goes back to hugging me.

we ended up drifting to sleep.

the next morning i woke up feeling fatigued.

i think it's from crying last night but i'm not sure. but i get up and take a shower to get ready for the game tonight.

i finish and walk out to the kitchen and see azzi cooking. "morning, how'd you sleep?" she questions and i just shrug.

"well i hope breakfast and dutch bros helps." azzi then sets down a plate full with an omelet, bacon, and some hash browns along with a small picture perfect from dutch bros.

i smile and thank her. i grab a fork and start to eat.

"you ready for the game?" she asked as she placed her plate down and sat next to me.

"yea cause we'll get to meet nika's sister and see her parents" i happily tell her.

nika has been talking about this game since we've gotten the schedule.

"true true. i can't wait for it. i'm happy for baby niks" she playfully said making me laugh.

we finish up eating and head out to the gym for practice.

whenever we get there only caroline and ice are there. "heyyy my lovely twins" carol lets out skipping over and hugging us both.

"hi carol, how're you?" i ask her. she lets go and rambles on about her bf and what they're doing this weekend.

i smile and listen. caroline is only like this with azzi and i since all three of us have been friends for many years.

she obviously is close with the rest of the team but azzi and i are obvi her favorite.

everyone else slowly makes their way in. geno was the last to arrive and we start practice.

we run through a couple of plays before geno lets us go to change for the game.
