It's hard to believe it's been almost two years since I returned to my city, accompanied by Levi and Hange. The memories of that day still linger vividly in my mind. Toji, with his characteristic calm demeanor, seemed to take the news of my departure in stride. I recall the moment I was packing my bags, he approached me with a reassuring smile and said, "I'll always be there for you, no matter what." His words were a balm to my soul, and I clung to them as I embarked on this new chapter of my life.

However, as time passed, our communication lessened. We hardly ever texted, and when we did, the conversations were stilted and brief. Toji attributed this distance to his work, saying that now that I was aware of the true nature of his job, I should understand why he couldn't keep in touch as frequently. I tried to be understanding, but the void left by his absence still ached within me.

In stark contrast, my relationship with Levi has flourished. Ever since we made our relationship official, everyone around us seemed to radiate joy and approval. Levi, with his intense gaze and passionate nature, has been a constant source of comfort and love. Yet, at times, his possessiveness can be overwhelming. He has a tendency to hover over me, his eyes narrowing slightly whenever someone else approaches me. It's as if he's constantly on guard, ready to defend me from the world. While his protectiveness is endearing, it also makes me feel suffocated, longing for a semblance of freedom and autonomy.

As I navigate this complex web of relationships, I'm reminded that life is a delicate balancing act. Between Toji's distance and Levi's possessiveness, I'm striving to find my own footing, to assert my own identity and desires. It's a journey fraught with uncertainty, but one that I'm determined to undertake, armed with the knowledge that I'm not alone, and that love and connection can take many forms.

"Please, Levi, let me be the godmother!" Hange exclaimed, her voice trembling with emotion. "I promise I'll be the best godmother ever!"

The moment Hange discovered that I was pregnant, she was over the moon with excitement. Her eyes sparkling with anticipation, she pleaded with Levi to make her the godmother of our unborn child.

I couldn't help but smile at her enthusiasm, but Levi's response was as expected.

"I don't think so, four eyes," Levi said with a hint of amusement dancing on his lips. "I don't want my child to turn out like you."

Hange playfully rolled her eyes. "Hey, I'm a great role model!"

It had been just a month since the doctor delivered the life-changing news: I was pregnant. Levi and I had been caught off guard, unsure of how to react or what the future held. We had never discussed having children, never envisioned ourselves as parents. Levi, in particular, had expressed doubts about his ability to be a good father, given his own tumultuous childhood. He had confided in me about his fears, about how he never had a father figure in his life, and how that void had left him feeling uncertain and unprepared.

But as the news of my pregnancy sank in, Levi's initial hesitation gave way to a sense of determination and resolve. He took me in his arms, his eyes filled with a deep sense of comfort and reassurance. He promised me that he would do everything in his power to raise our child with me, to provide a loving and stable home, and to be the father that he never had. In that moment, I knew that Levi would be an amazing father, and that together, we would face whatever challenges lay ahead, as a team.

My phone buzzed, breaking the spell of the heated debate unfolding between Hange and Levi in the background. I pulled the device out of my back pocket, the worn denim creaking softly as I moved. A glance at the lock screen revealed the identity of the message sender - Toji. My heart skipped a beat as I quickly unlocked the phone, my fingers flying across the screen.

Hange and Levi's argument continued to simmer in the background, I immersed myself in the text conversation. Toji's message was brief, yet it carried a weight that made my pulse quicken. "How are you doing?" he asked, the words glowing on the screen like a beacon. "Are you available to meet me tonight?"

I typed out a response, my thumbs hovering over the keyboard before striking the right keys. "Back in the city?" I asked, my mind racing with possibilities. The response came quickly, the words flashing on the screen like a Morse code message. "Yes," Toji replied. "Meet me at 7 near the riverbank."

The riverbank. A place where memories lingered, where the past and present converged like the gentle lapping of the water against the shore. I felt a shiver run down my spine as I read the message, the anticipation building inside me like a slow-burning fire. Tonight, under the stars, Toji and I would meet again. The question was, what would happen next?

I slid my phone back into my pocket, the soft fabric enveloping it like a gentle whisper. Levi's concerned gaze met mine, his eyes narrowing slightly as he approached me. "Is everything okay?" he asked, his deep voice low and soothing.

I nodded in response, trying to reassure him that all was well. But Levi's intuition was hard to fool. He reached out, his fingers brushing against my forehead in a gentle caress. "I'll make you some tea," he said, his voice filled with a quiet understanding. "You need to relax."

Hange, who had been observing our exchange with interest, piped up with a mischievous grin. "What about me?" she asked, her voice tinged with mock indignation.

Levi's response was swift and merciless. "Fuck off, Hange,"
