MASTERMIND IN KIVOTOS CH 14, A Tread Through Trinity, Part 1: Loadout

Two Days after The Devil's Crossroads Heist, at Trinity General School...

BGM: Payday 2 OST 15. Let's Go Shopping!

A man steps out of a changing room dressed in a gray two-piece suit complemented with a light blue tie. As he stares into the well lit measuring room's mirror, adjusting his black leather gloves, he quietly taps his black dress shoes on the laminated wood floor. The two others in the measuring room admiring the man are a short hazel feathered bird woman and a blonde haired teenage girl in a dusty gray long coat.

Bain: It's a perfect fit.

Tailor: I knew you would like it~

Bain: I'm just surprised how comfortable this bulletproof suit is. I imagine it would've been at least a tad bit stuffy due to the polymers and fibers needed to stop a bullet, er, no offense to your skills.

Tailor: I pay it no mind dearie~ While "Savile Stitch" respects traditional tailoring, it doesn't mean we don't embrace innovations in protective materials. The suit you're wearing has HG3 Grade protection against 5.56mm rounds with trauma pads underneath. All that protection mixed with comfortable linens and cottons for a classy look!~

Caracal: Looking snazzy Mr. Neil! Still, it's around a hundred sixty thousand Yen...

Bain: That's fine. I got a big Payday a few days ago, remember?

The petite tailor walked over the towering man to recheck his sizes and make adjustments, which looked like a mother tending to her older son, minus the difference of races. The image caused Caracal to snicker, which the older man ignored.

Tailor: It's such a rare delight to work on male suits! Most of my clients are young girls looking for quality apparel like dresses although I do occasionally get a tomboyish one wanting a suit. I enjoy making them don't get me wrong, but sewing something for such a fine gentleman is a treat~

Bain: It's quite impressive you managed to tailor it within a few hours, with the complex style and materials.

Tailor: Oh you make me blush dearie, the clothes were just made beforehand. Assembling and adjusting the look is most of the work! I'm curious why a fine man like you needs a ballistic suit? Most often it's bankers and other important business sorts who buy them.

Caracal: Well... Uh...

Bain: Better be prepared than not, that's my philosophy. Even in formal occasions, a little added protection wouldn't hurt. So I want to have this around, just in case, yeah?

Tailor: I suppose so dearie. With that sorted, how about you get into your own apparel miss?

Caracal: Wait what?

Tailor: The moment when you walked through that door and I saw you? I knew I must help you!~ You and that dusty gray uniform have been through a lot, and you are only wearing sarashi wraps instead of a bra! So while making Mr. Neil's suit, I also spared the liberties of assembling a new set of clothes for you!

Bain: H-How the... We only left for three hours!?!

Caracal: W-Wait wait wait! You don't have to, and it probably costs a lot!

Tailor: Don't worry about the price dearie, I was so inspired it's on the house. I insist you put it on!

Caracal: But I like this coat! S-Shouldn't we do this with Alex?!
