"Hey, guys?" Evelyn's voice was soft and low, almost a whisper. "Yeah?" Evelyn lightly chuckled as she gathered her thoughts, ready to share a memory that had been lingering in her mind. "Do you remember the day we met?"

Bucky paused for a moment, his brows furrowing in thought before he suddenly burst into laughter. "Oh my gosh, I remember it like it was yesterday," he exclaimed, his eyes
sparkling with amusement.

Steve, just shook his head. "I still don't understand why you decided to follow a stranger into an alley," he remarked, the confusion evident in his tone.

Evelyn couldn't help but laugh at the memory, the sound filled with nostalgia. "Well I thought the "stranger" was kind of cute." Evelyn admitted shyly, her voice barely above a whisper. Bucky smirked at her comment, clearly amused.

"Plus I thought there was a little girl in trouble, but boy was I wrong.." she said teasing Steve.

Steve turned to look at Evelyn, his expression a mix of admiration and disbelief as he placed a hand dramatically over his heart, though he couldn't help but laugh.

"You thought I was a little girl in trouble?" Evelyn clutched her stomach as she laughed. Bucky couldnt help but admired how pretty her smile was.

"I can still remember how you were all Bucky could talk about for weeks," Steve began, his voice filled with nostalgia. Bucky's smile quickly disappeared as he shook his head, trying to signal Steve to stop.

The two men waited for one of Evelyn's unhinged jokes, but there was nothing. Bucky turned to look at Evelyn, noticing that she had zoned out and was staring blankly out the window. "Evelyn?" he called softly, but there was no response.

"Lynne?" He tried again, but she remained motionless, as if she had seen a ghost and was frozen in place. Bucky leaned forward to see what had captured her attention so completely.

When his eyes finally fell on the scene outside the window, he understood. "We're here." Steve announced. Bucky reached forward and placed his hand on Evelyns thigh.

"Просто дышите." Evelyn relaxed a bit at his touch. Evelyn finally looked up at Bucky giving him a sad but reassuring smile. Bucky stood up and opened the weapon case and grabbed 2 guns.

"You remember that time we had to ride back from Rockaway Beach in the back of that freezer truck?" Steve looked at Bucky. "Was that the time we used our train money to buy hot dogs?"

"You guys are so weird." Evelyn softly laughed. "You blew three bucks trying to win that stuffed animal for some mystery girl." Steve smirked. "She's gotta be a hundred years old right now." Bucky laughed as he side eyed Evelyn.
