"Where are we gonna go?" Evelyn said, her voice low and scratchy. "I don't know, " Steve said. the three of them took their time getting to the jet. "Captain." the three of them abruptly stopped when they heard T'challa behind them. "At this point just kill me," Evelyn said.
T'challa let out a small laugh. "I owe you three an apology," T'challa said. His voice was steady but filled with remorse. "I was blinded by my grief and my desire for vengeance. I thought you were responsible for the death of my father, and I acted without knowing the whole truth."
The three of them stood there silently and listened to T'chlla's sincere apology. "I see now I was wrong, you all were victims in this, just as much as I was. I am deeply sorry for the pain I caused you." Evelyn's heart ached for T'Challa.
It takes immense strength to endure the challenges life has thrown at him, but it takes even more bravery to acknowledge one's mistakes.
Evelyn slowly let go of Bucky and limped over to T'challa. Evelyn placed her cold bloody hand on his shoulder. "we understand." Steve and Bucky nodded in agreement. "I've had my fair share of mistakes. what matters most is that we learn from them and move forward."
T'challa gave her a small smile. "It takes a strong person to admit when they're wrong. Thank you T'challa." The group nodded. The four of them stood silent. None of them knowing what to say next.
"If we're finished here... I think I need some help," Evelyn managed to say, her voice trembling. Bucky's eyes widened in shock as he watched Evelyn cough up blood, the sight sending a wave of panic through him.
Evelyn's face was pale and almost looked lifeless. Evelyn stumbled a bit causing T'challa to catch her quickly.
