Chapter Twenty-Six: Questionable decisions

Silence.

There was nothing to say since their only way of breaking out of there– Vivi Nefertari– was also captured due to her rash actions. 

You might not be seeing this, but Y/n was giving Crocodile a stink eye. Vivi's had been forcefully placed at the warlord's table, turmoil clouding her features as the man spike of "Operation Utopia."

Y/n's foot tapped against the tiled floor, pulling Zoro's attention down to where her boots were clearly absent. He quirked his eyebrows. 'Never a dull moment'

"You look constipated." Luffy said from beside her on the floor, still holding the bars of their temporary prison - let's call it temporary in the hopes of Y/n not going insane.

"Stop touching those bars, Luffy." she said, piercing eyes watching as he immediately took his hands off of them with a sheepish look.

Behind her, Ussop was mimicking her body language, crossing his arms and tapping his foot against the floor. Y/n abruptly turned to look at him, the sniper immediately acting like the floor was interesting. 
Nami was fuming just as Y/n, glaring daggers at Crocodile, ''DONT YOU DARE HURT HER!"
Smoker was blissfully thinking of ways to strangle Crocodile himself.

I think I'mma start smoking like Sanji if things are gonna be like this.

"My, my, the women in your crew are tenacious," Crocodile begun, "But all of you have been quite the nuisance. I can finally continue with Operation Utopia once I'm done getting rid of you all." Crocodile continued, giving Vivi cancerous smoke inhalation with every word. 

Y/n put up her hand, breaking the heavy silence, "I did not consent to this." Crocodile didn't even spare her a glance, rolling his eyes at her words as he stood up from his chair, large cloak trailing behind.

She let out an irritated huff, walking away from the bars and standing beside Zoro, ''Did that sandy old man just leave me on heard?''  
Zoro patted her back with mock sympathy.

"Don't worry, I'm not planning on killing your father." Crocodile said, a maniacal smile on his face, "He will have something worse than death that awaits him once everything is complete."

Everyone in the cell tensed as they heard parts of the warlord's plan. Luffy's fist clenched as the raging feeling of wanting to fight the cruel man kept growing. Y/n continued to glare daggers at Crocodile and Miss All Sunday, fingers itching to get a hold of her sword.  That way she would have easily cut through these bars.

Ussop gulped, trembling a bit in the spot," What's worse than death?"

"Getting expelled..." Y/n mumbled, "Then again we don't go to a school so maybe its having to be watch the people who rely on you being killed not only by a war caused by someone who was thought to be trusted but also the fact that you couldn't save them and watched them die?"

'Gotta admit, using the people to destroy their own kingdom is diabolical.' 

An idea popped into her, making her stand up and examine the sea prism stone bars. Y/n's fingers trailed over the bars, trying to find a way to set them free. Crocodile's monologuing being nothing but noise. The bars were cool to the touch, barely shifting or bending to her will as she used the little bit of moisture in her hands to try and put pressure on it. Sea prism stone had to be derived from the ocean, there had to be a way to control it.  But all she felt was her body growing tired, her power still working effectively though.

"I'm gonna...get you...for this!" Luffy strained against the metal, trying to make his body enter through the squares but ultimately failing since it was weakening his powers.

Smoker lifted up his head as he watched Luffy," Is he an idiot, didn't he hear what I said earlier?"

"Yes, he is...that's why he's our captain." Zoro stood up with a small smirk, tired of sitting and watching this whole ordeal.

Luffy slid down from the bars he was trying to get through, letting out a weak "I'm gonna kick your ass." The man simply turned away from him and looked to the princess.

"So many moves I've made to make it this far...the sabotage to instigate the citizens. Directing the royal army's misconduct...''The sinister smile on Crocodile's face was no mistake. He was a cruel man with no sympathies for the once peaceful country that had now turned barren and broken from his cause, ''Do you have any idea as to what I would attain from all of this?''

Vivi struggled in her bounds, seething in anger,'' I wouldn't know what's going on in that sick head of yours.''

"Oh, that really hurt my feelings, princess.'' Crocodile taunted, looking up to meet eyes with Y/n and narrowing them, 'Maybe your little friend would know seeing as she feigns an abundance of wisdom.''

Y/n looked up from her spot in the cell, ''Respectfully Crocodile, go to hell.''

One thing for sure Vivi was in danger. 

Crocodile had thrown the key to their cell inside a large tank filled with giant bananagator and left them for dead. Creatures looming over the friends, menacing and all ready to chomp down on any victim that they decided to set their eyes on.

Long story short due to:
 The help of Mr Three who was able to forge a key- we all question how he got there.
 Our very own Mr Prince- who happened to distract the Warlord and save Vivi on time before she became bananagator lunch
and a special mention, Y/n taming the ferocious beasts with a glare (she had slapped one just as it was about to eat her)

The Strawhat Pirates were able to regroup, a specific goal in mind. 

Get to Alubarna.

Defeat Crocodile.

End the civil war.

Now, riding aboard one of Karoo's friends and disguised as Vivi in a cloak all the remaining Strawhats had to get past the Billions in order to infiltrate the well-guarded city. Luffy had been left behind to fight Crocodile earlier, the rest having the duty of taking down his heavy hitters.

AN: That was me trying to get the plot going. Had to cut scenes because I honestly didn't realise Alabasta was this long to write.

 More action and proper pacing to come in the next chapter, that I can atleast promise.
