The Teacher's Assistant

.:Chapter 5: Little Dorkus Maximus:.

The rest of the school day passed by in a complete blur. Besides Tyler popping up out of no where and the creepy feeling of someone watching me the day was completely uneventful. Fortunately for me, there is no tutoring today. Apparently it's every other day. I just can't help but wonder how long this whole tutoring thing was going to last. I mean there was only so much re-learning one could do. As I always do I asked Rosie if she needed a ride home from school but just like always she refused and after bidding each other adieu we split up and I saw some girl come and meet Rosie halfway while I was left by myself. Bummer.

I started walking across the nearly empty parking lot due to the fact that I stayed late after school for Rosie's volleyball practice. Volleyball was never really my game I was never tall enough for it. But, track? A whole 'nother question. I tightened my scarf around my neck. After our lunch the once cloudless sky was filled with gray rain clouds that covered the sun and the sky around it casting an ominous fog across this side of the city.

"Hey, need a ride?" I squeaked and jumped back as someone jumped in front of me and shocked me out of my mind babble.

"Hey, I didn't mean to scare you. You were looking right at me so I figured you could see me." He said with an impish smirk on his face.

"No, I wasn't! And why do you keep doing that?!" I asked placing a hand over my now rapidly beating heart.

"Oh come on Lori I was only playing. So, do you want a ride?" Tyler prodded.

"What? Don't call me that! And no I don't want a ride. I've got my own car." I said stubbornly walking around my English T.A. Though I can't help but wonder what the inside of his car looks like. Is black and sleek? Or is it all dusty busty and crowded with his empty fast food bags?

"That's great for you. So are you sure you don't want a ride." He asks taking step beside me.

"Yeah. I'm pretty sure." I sighed and rolled my eyes. What is with this guy? I can't seem to get him off my back. "Don't you have something better to do besides stalking your students?"

"Hey, I'm not stalking you. I only wanted to make sure you were okay." He says putting his hands up defensively.

I stopped dead in my tracks. "You're not stalking me?" I asked crossing my arms over my navy green blazer.

For a moment he looked confused but then it passed and it was once again replaced with a teasing smirk. "No."

"Figures." I scoffed and turned around and started back towards my car. It was just a few feet away.

"No really. I don't do the whole stalking thing."

"Yeah, I'm starting to find that really hard to believe." I muttered under my breath opening up my satchel and fiddling around for my car keys. Next thing I know he'll start flexing his knees and bending his arms and doing the creep. The thought made me chuckle. I picked out my keys and after unlocking the car I put a leg in and that's when I noticed Tyler still standing there. But he wasn't looking at me. He was once again doing that eerie watching thing. Not to mention his hand was on my car. I lifted my satchel over my head and put it in the passenger's seat before looking back over at my T.A. who was now watching me.

"What's wrong with you?" I ask cocking an eyebrow.

"What do you mean?" He asks crossing his arms over his chest much like what I was doing not to long ago.

"You were doing this creepy scanning thing. Kind of like wh- you're doing right now!" I said pointing an accusing finger at him as his eyes started to wander. They snapped back to me.
