Hey peoples! Okay, so sorry for the long wait, but I made this chapter extra long because of it. And even though nobody told me to I put a small part in Tyler's Point Of View and I will probably never do it again. NOw, my "action" scenes may suck, so i'm sorry if they do. But i tried, so oh well. Did you guys notice i changed the cover? I like it, tell me what you think! Thank you so much for commenting and voting and fanning, means so much to me!
Anyways, on to the story!
BTW: I didn't proofread, so forgive me!
The Teacher's Assistant
.:Chapter 7:Packing A Punch:.
"What the hell?" I say questioningly. "Is that a bullet h-,"
"Get down!" Tyler yells just as more glass breaks from another window upstairs. He grabs my hand and pulls around the island counter just as all the windows in the living room break and a round of gun shots sound off in the kitchen.
What the hell is going on?
Tyler ducks down and covers his head and I follow suit. He looked just as surprised if not shocked as I was. Didn't he know this was going to happen? I mean aren't those his little killer buddies?
More gun shots followed suit. What in Gods name is going on here? I looked over to Tyler but he wasn't looking at me. And that's when I noticed the man standing right behind him with an oversized machine gun in his hands.
"RUN!" Tyler yelled and I all but high tailed it out of there. I ran as fast as one could, with bullets following them, up the stairs. I ran into the bathroom where I knew there wasn't anybody inside because there weren't any windows and locked the door behind me before running over to the bathtub and sitting down in the corner. I tucked my legs up to my stomach and wrapped my arms around my knees.
I have no idea where Tyler is and to be frank, I don't give a rat's ass. I just want all of this to be over. I don't understand why so many people would want me dead. I did nothing wrong! I laid my forehead down on top of my knees and that's when I noticed all of the shooting had stopped.
What the hell is going on out there?
I expected people to come bursting into the bathroom as soon as they saw me coming in but all I heard was a knock.
A small, barely audible knock, followed by the twisting of the doorknob.
I slowly lifted my head and stared at the door. There is no way in hell I was opening that door.
"Lorelei? Are you in there?" I heard Tyler's voice say from behind the door. I remained silent. He was here to kill me too why on Google Earth would I open the door for him? Besides what makes him think I'm in here? I could be in any other room in this over-sized house. What makes him pick this one? Besides the fact that it's the right room.
"Lorelei I know you're in there I saw you come in. Now would you do me a favor and unlock the door?"
"No." I say but it only comes out only as a whisper.
He sighs, "Please?" I don't reply. "Lorelei, I really need to come in we don't have much time." He says exasperatedly. What if he's not alone? What if he's just trying to trick me into opening up the door so he can kill me? What if when I open the door he's alone? What if he's actually trying to help me?
Man, I'm so screwed up.
"Alright, Lori we have no more time." I heard him walk away and then gun shots went off and I flinched, thinking the other guys were back. But then the door flew open and in walked my T.A.
