"And to be honest I don't even know why I let myself get down in the first place," -Sunflower by Rex Orange County
"I'm just going to warn you, my father can be a little..." Todoroki hummed, "odd at times."
You were standing outside Todoroki's house. According to Todoroki, Endeavor thought that the sooner the ball started rolling on the plan, the better. After some convincing, Todoroki allowed Bakugo and Izuku to come as well.
Bakugo chuckled, "Must run in the family."
Elbowing the ignorant blonde in the side, you nodded at Todoroki.
But nothing could prepare you for the chaos of the Todoroki Family.
"SHOTOOOOO!!" A voice belted from inside the household.
"Um?" Izuku murmured, scratching the back of his head nervously.
The blazing red hero charged through the front doors at full force. His rage burned as hot as his fire quirk.
"Sir, it is a pleasure to meet you!" Izuku stumbled over his formalities, gawking at the No. 2 pro hero.
Todoroki gently yanked Izuku from his bowing stance, "He's hardly worthy of such praise."
"Someone's got daddy issues," Bakugo loomed over and whispered in your ear.
"Tell me about it," you laughed back.
"Shoto! I thought I told you that Y/N was the only one involved in this plan," Endeavor's cold stare towards Bakugo and Izuku looked as if he wanted to freeze them in place.
"What do you mean by that-" Bakugo lunged forward, but you held him back by the hood of his sweatshirt.
You respectfully bowed, "Sir, I asked if they could join us." You looked back up, with a fake smile plastered on your face, "I hope that you don't mind!"
Endeavor scowled, "I guess. Please make our way into the house." He walked in front, not even bothering to keep the door open for his guests.
"Gee, thanks, I feel so welcome," you muttered.
The inside was drop-dead gorgeous. A traditional styled Japanese house, with dark hardwood floors and white walls. The ceilings were high up, making the rooms only feel larger. The hero led you down the hallway, into the kitchen.
As you walked in, the cozy aroma of home cooked dinner flooded your brain with thoughts of hunger. The kitchen table was filled to the brim with all types of different foods. You licked your lips, hoping this meal was for you guys.
There was a woman standing at the sink, washing cooking pans. She was an average height, but had the same white hair on Todoroki's right side. Sprinkled throughout her hair were spots of red highlights. She turned around as the group of you came in, with a cheery smile on her face. Her smile lines wrapped around her lips perfectly, she was very pretty.
"This is my sister," Todoroki put his hand out towards her, "Fuyumi."
"Hi!" she rushed out and grabbed your hands. "I'm so happy to meet you! You're Y/N, right? Shoto and my father have talked a lot about you!"
Bakugo gave you a side eye, but you returned her kindness, "It's nice to meet you, too."
"Well, I think it's time to get to business." Endeavor plopped down at the table. "Fuyumi, if you could please-"
"Yes, father!" She quickly nodded and jogged out of the room.
Todoroki took sat down next to his father, and you, Bakugo, and Izuku sat on the opposite side. Endeavor sighed and began, "You are free to eat as you wish while I speak."
The thought of eating made your eyes light up in excitement and you started grabbing anything in arms reach. Once you settled down, Endeavor started to speak again. "I apologize if this is sudden, but we want to stop this before it gets– more out of hand. I have tracked the money that had come in and out of the camp, and limited the sponsors down to a few groups of interest. Many governments across the world have been funding the camp, including Japan, because we hadn't known of the truth. Since the camp is in America, we don't have control to oversee it, which leaves the room for the quirk prejudice to come in. Now that we know of this, we have to find the villains that are helping the camp. I have traced many checks coming and going from the League of Villains. America is just as much to blame, but I assume these villains are using the discrimination against quirk holders in America to their advantage. They have been breaking down the victims to the ground, and building them back up by blaming the heroes. In fact, most of the League of Villains members are known to have come from the camp, like Dabi."
You nodded along as he kept discussing. "This will be a hard mission to accomplish because the American government has turned a blind eye. We will have to get inside and investigate to find undeniable proof of the villains involvement if we want the Americans to do anything about it. What are your thoughts?"
"Well," you started, "I agree that they have been trying to build up villains. I myself have even found having a resentment towards the heroes at times. It's hard to stop myself, but-" You paused, taking a second to breathe. Bakugo tapped the side of your thigh, getting you to continue so Endeavor wouldn't become impatient. "There were these older members of the camps, who basically "babysat" the younger kids. Dabi was one. If we can get proof that these people were not victims, but members of the League, then we will have proof enough."
"Sounds like a damn good plan," Bakugo smirked, resting his chin on his right hand.
"As I work out the details, I will keep you and your teacher informed. Once the wrinkles of the plan are ironed out, we will make our way to America." Endeavor stood up from his seat as stiff as a board, and left the room without uttering another word.
You turned to Bakugo, who was sitting directly beside you. You held out your hand, waiting for a high-five, saying, "Mission success?"
He high-fived you, and with a crisp clap, he responded, "Mission success."
