A/N: Very long chapter alert. I think this is the longest in the story so far. I didn't think anything would top season 3's chapters, but here we are. Good luck! It's a lot! I told y'all, the Neon arc is intense.
Alsoooo, I'm starting to do season theme songs! Last season's theme song was Again by Noah Cyrus, and this season's theme song is I Wanna Know by RL Grime and Daya. "Why do I get the feeling we're getting close, but we'll never be there?" Like c'mon is that lyric not just this season's Jimin and Y/n? Like c'monnnnnnn-
(Starfield has ruined music for me; every time I listen to a song and look at the lyrics, I think of this story I stg)
The overall Starfield theme is Solitude by M83 (Felsmann + Tiley Reinterpretation; in general, M83 is like Starfield's artist). There's a Starfield playlist linked in the first chapter of the story, if you haven't seen it yet, and all of these songs are on there!
I hope you enjoy the chapter!

Neon sucked.
Nothing was worse than rotten fish, human (she hoped) fecal matter, and smells so bad they rivaled Jimin after he used the bathroom—an aroma she had gotten used to due to living with him for years. Contrary to popular belief, he did not smell like peaches everywhere.
And yet, there she stood, in front of a man with a longer mullet than Jimin's, though he had far more of an accent. If she had to guess, the man, Jaylen, was from Akila, as most Rangers were. Neon street rats could care less about the Rangers, and the other systems in the Freestar focused on survival and farming. Akila, though? That was the home of the Rangers, and all of them had accents. Thick country ones. Like Sam's. He was from Akila too. Looked like her point was proven.
