The stars felt tired that day.
Each twinkle appeared duller than the next, and the sight of Polvo outside the cockpit window was bland compared to the black hue of space surrounding it. The distant planets visible on the horizon added a touch of color—crimson from the gas giant, gray from Polvo's two moons, and gold from the sun—but nothing changed the aching stars begging for one last look before they disappeared.
Y/n wished she was a star, guiding others in the darkness of the night. Space was an endless night. If she were lost in darkness, she'd look for the light. She wished she could be that for lost souls. At one point, she had been. Maybe for Jimin.
