Some days were worse than others.
He hadn't wanted to say it out loud, but Y/n's comment about Isabelle had him spiraling. It was one thing to hear it from the galaxy, a friend, or even himself, but her? Y/n was the one he had trusted that part of himself to, yet she had thrown it back at him as if it meant nothing. As if he meant nothing. Maybe she was right; after all, he had let mind control on the market, and said mind control had impacted Taehyung.
Did he deserve comfort when he had caused so many to die? Did he deserve to have his feelings considered? Men weren't supposed to get so emotional anyway. Maybe she had taught him a valuable lesson.
The return of Y/n had granted Jimin more sanity than he had before, but that didn't mean he was free from the demons of his past. Sometimes they felt worse than when Y/n hadn't been there. Maybe it was because Y/n was on his ship but out of sight. Whenever he had had episodes, she had been there to stroke his hair and tell him it was okay, but there he was, on his ship in his cafeteria with no hand to hold him and no knowing eyes to reassure him.
His finger traced down his arm that had once held more scars than anywhere else on his body, though Life Force had healed every piece of damage he had endured. That didn't stop how every time he closed his eyes, he saw that day with Y/n, when he had denied sex with her. He was a pathetic excuse of a man; he knew that. No man would deny sex, let alone with a beautiful woman like Y/n. A beautiful woman he loved. The first and only woman he had ever loved.
