Chapter 21: Finding Hinami-chan.

We finally made it home "seems my leg is almost healed" I thought as I stare at it. Lawrence puts me down on the couch and went on his knee and places my foot on his other knee "... W-what are you doing Lawrence?!" Lawrence removes my shoe.

"Sit still!" he said serious as he already knew That I was about to pull my leg away. "It's swollen, I'll be right back" he said as he also takes off the other shoe and took them both away.

"I can take care of myself" I said softly and puffing up my cheeks. A little later Lawrence came back with a bag of ice in his hand and placed it on my foot.

my body Shivered when Lawrence put that ice in my foot. "Lawrence you really worry too much, you know.." Lawrence looks at me with sad or disappointed look and leaves the room.

"What was that about"

He never acted that way towards me "Lawrence" no response "Lawrence?" No response there either. the doorbell went off Lawrence wasn't around so I have to open it my self. I opened the door "Ka-neki?" I said surprised.

"So you were hurt, why didn't you tell me?" He came in. "It's already healing, so I don't want you too worry" I said but I knew he would worry anyway.

He puts my arm around him "you're too tall" I said giggling Kaneki face turned red. he let go of me and sweeps me into his arms "K-K-Kaneki w-what are you doing" so my face turned red as well.

He carried me to the couch and gently puts me down his face is way too close to mine. Then Kaneki's phone went off "hello touka-chan" he said.

"Kaneki, Hinami isn't in her room she left" I heard.

"I'll be right there" Kaneki said and hung up and soon he got a message seems she send the location. "Amaya, Hinami-chan ran away somewhere we're going to look for her you stay here, alright" Kaneki said and rushed out the door. I grab my phone and called Lawrence but he isn't picking up.

I have to get up and help them I stand up. there isn't much pain "But I can't run yet" I grab my phone and mask put it into my pocket and went outside. I closed my eyes and inhaled the air and found my scent... "well I found Kaneki, but it seems im still not fully used to finding people by there scent" I sighed in frustration.

"I need to find Hinami" and I began looking around. "Hinami! Hinami! Where are you!?" I called out but no response. "Where did she go?" I closed my eye's and concentrate on unusual sounds suddenly I heard a loud scream my eye's shot open.

I went towards the scream after some minutes it starting to rain. Later I saw Kaneki on the ground and the investigator walking away from Kaneki. Then Kaneki suddenly stands up and rushes toward the the investigator. The investigator turned around defending himself but Kaneki got through biting a piece of flesh off his right shoulder.

The investigator pushed Kaneki of him and looks at his shoulder in frustration and back at Kaneki. Kaneki brought out his kagune both of them are fighting.

"Kaneki is going for the quinque"

Kaneki destroyed the the investigator his quinque, the investigator falls on his knees "Without my quinque , there's nothing more... No!" He mumbled and stands up.

"Once your enemy stand before you, even if it cost me my arms and legs, I.." He kept mumbling but I could clearly hear it.

"Please, run away... The way this is heading, I'm going to kill you... So run away!" Kaneki's kagune became bigger as he's trying to keep control.

"Don't be ridiculous! I never run away from my enemies nor ghoul's!" He shouted and stand ready to go into battle without weapon.

"Hurry!" Kaneki yelled and slammed the investigator away "Go! Please, I'm begging you, don't make me a killer" Kaneki begged.

The investigator carefully stands up and is walking away as he is out of sight. I jumped down "Kaneki, Kaneki?" I said slowly walking to him.

"Stay away! Don't come any closer" he yelled at me I stopped moving. "It's no use, I can't control it..." Kaneki looks in pain. again I try to approach him "Kaneki I'm not leaving!" I said.

Kaneki stand up and turns around like he's possessed "I'm... Starving" he said looking down. "Ka.." suddenly he rushes to me I close my eye's. But didn't feel anything I peak through one eye to see what happened.

Kaneki pierced through someone and it almost hit me. "I think I know why Yoshimura has taken such an interest in you, now I too want to see what you're going to accomplish from here on out, now let's go home, Ken" the person before me said that.

Kaneki came back to his senses and starts crying "yomo-san...what have I done?" Kaneki said upset.

I came from behind yomo-san into Kaneki sight. His eye's widen as he saw me more tears started streaming down down his cheeks. "Yomo-san? Right are you alright?" He nodded and took something out of his pocket "Eat this it'll make you feel better" and handed it over to Kaneki.

Kaneki ate the piece of meat he got after finishing it "let's go to the others" Yomo-san said we both nodded and followed after him.

After we got there we saw Hinami-chan and Touka-chan "Hinami-chan!" Kaneki called out to her I waved at her with a smile. I went to Touka-chan "are you alright Touka-chan?" I asked she was just sitting there in chock. I grabbed her hand and pulled her up "let's go I said" but she looks so distracted.

Yomo-san is carrying Hinami-chan, Touka-chan and kaneki are walking up front and I behind them "is it okay for me to be alive?" Hinami asked. we stopped "Hinami-chan, back there Ryoko-san was telling you to live, I believe" it made her happy to hear that.
