Chapter 6: Years later.

We went home after mom picked us up from school. I watched her sitting next to me "what's wrong sweetie, you don't look too happy, did something happen st school" I shook my head "it's nothing like that im just surprised that that's all" she smiled kindly and pulled me into her arm's "I love you sweetie" she said. In such situation I didn't really know what to say. But words came out of my mouth "I love you to... mom" a mother's feeling I never had and felt before. made my eye's fill with tears.

As soon as we arrived home I went upstairs and took a bath. I was just sitting in the bath tub looking up "something wasn't right with mom, she was looking upset about something" I signed.

"Maybe, it's just me" I closed my eye's and put my head under water making the water flow out of the bath tub. I opened my eye's seeing a shadow over the bath tub. I almost drowned and quickly got my head put of the water making me coughing and breath heavily.

"You idiot, what are you doing" I stood up and glared at him. "What you mean what I'm doing? What are you doing, I almost drowned because of you" my face became red when I realised I'm naked.

I went back into the water "leave now, can't you see I'm taking a bath?!" He's also naked but there was a towel around him "why should I leave, this place is bigg enough for at least for ten people, and why did you fill it all the way up" he was looking straight at me.

"Cause I felt like it!" I said crossing my arm's and looking the other way. "Hmph, I'll will still go in there "fine you can use it, but I'm out" my towel was kinda far away "um, can you pass the towel please" he sighed and threw my towel. it almost landed in the bath.

"Phew lucky me" without saying anything I left to my room. I heard mom coughing loudly it made me go check on her. I open the door slowly "mom?" I said softly. "Miss what are you doing, you will catch cold if you walk around like that" Lawrence startled me.

"Lawrence is mum alright" I was worried I have this uneasy feeling like something bad is gonna happen. "Your mum is fine she just needs to rest, I brought her medicine so she'll get better, now go get chance before you get sick" he sent me to my room I changed into my pyjama's and went to bed.

Kaneki and Hide came to pick me up for school. "Have you guy's seen the news, there was a ghoul attack nearby"

"Ghoul attack? Those things that eat humans" Hide nodded "I haven't seen it, I was quite tired so I went to bed early" I said.

I was looking at Hide "is something wrong?" He asked when our eye's met. I shook my head "no, it's nothing" we made it just in time for class.

When I entered the class Chelsea's seat was empty. "May I ask something, where's Chelsea?" I asked the teacher she went on her knee's. "Chelsea she won't be attending to this school again, she moved away to a different country" I was left confused. "But, why? Didn't she like it here?" She shook her head "no it's not that, she told me because of her father's job she had to leave" I looked down "I understand thank you for telling me this" I went to my seat looking at the seat next to me.

"My first friend at school just left like that" I sighed. After school was over I went home with Hide and Kaneki. They dropped me off at my house and left.

"Lawrence I'm home~" nobody answered back. I went to mum's room but when I entered to room the bed was covered with blood stains. I heard the front door opening and ran down quickly. Finding my brother there. I was breathing heavily "what's wrong you look like you've seen a ghost" I wanted to say something but no words came out of my mouth.

I was just standing there tears falling down my face "what's wrong you seriously starting to worry me now" I run to him and hugged him "there is blood on mum's bed, I don't know where she is" his phone went off. "Calm down, go sit down I'm sure Lawrence Is taking care of here" he pick up his phone.

"What!?, no!, yes we'll be right there" he put his phone back into his pocket "damn, amaya get ready now, we're going to the hospital" I nodded and put my shoes back on.

Shoke went outside "there are to much people, guess I jump from the roof top" I also went outside standing next to him. He look at me "alright then, you don't look heavy" he pick me up and jumped really high.

Before I knew it we were before the front entrance of the hospital. He went inside and looked over his shoulder "well let's go" I was scared, scared of losing someone. He held out his hand "let's go mum is waiting" I took it.

We went to her room where she was held Lawrence is sitting next to her. She was just laying there unconscious. "Both of you made it, Shoke I need to talk to you outside" he nodded and they went outside the room.

I sat down on the chair I reached my hand out to hers and held it. "Mum, im sure you gonna be fine, I finally met you after such a long time wondering what you were like, even though I know that you're not my real mum, but you became someone very precious to me, also I left dad on his own he must be pretty worried by now" Lawrence and Shoke came back into the room.

"Lawrence can you take amaya outside, please" Lawrence carried me out "is mum gonna be alright" he put me down on the outside chair "she has about two day's to live, she's been very, very I'll for a long time but lately it has worsen, she kept her self alive with medicine, but it seems that the medicine stopped working" I understood I had to face realty.

Shoke stamped out of the room "im going home" I Don't know what happened but I went inside the room seeing mum awake.

"Mum" I was happy and hugged her "wait, mum did you hear what I sait" she nodded. "I already knew, both of you are different from my children but you look exactly the same, but it doesn't matter cause I love you" a nurse came in "um im sorry young lady, we have to do some checkups, so would you be kind enough to leave the room" I shook my head "it's ok sweetie go home with Lawrence" I shook my head.

Lawrence carried me out I was struggling to get lose "Lawrence why would you do that" he took me home "I was lying she's... g" I slapped his face "why would you even lie to me, im not a kid anymore I already knew that was the last time, I already knew.." I said crying. He held his cheek "you just could've told me you know" I went running to my room crying.

Day's later I went back to school like nothing happened. year's passed by after and the bond between me and Shoke became distanced . We hardly see each other anymore.

8 years passed by im 16 now. I was in the same class as kaneki.
