Maybe Tomorrow

40 3 1

I'm watching the moon,
instead of you
My shadow, missing its company—
the one that once felt alive

My heart sours with pain,
the pain my eyes cannot hide
But perhaps it will fade,
Until we meet again
Maybe tomorrow.

I still hope today
If I find you tomorrow,
We'll hold each other tighter
than we ever did before
We'll roam the places we loved,
Reclaiming what once was ours.
Maybe tomorrow

And all I think of today
If I can be with you tomorrow,
We'll lose ourselves in each other
like no other
Our shadows will dance on the earth
while our stars shine brighter above
Perhaps we'll find our way back—
Maybe tomorrow.

Maybe tomorrow I can watch you

Instead of the moon
