"Darling, Patiala peg bana 5 mast se," Twinkle Khanna said in her Punjabi accent over the phone, making Reeva roll her eyes. Here she was, stuck in the biggest problem of her life, and this crazy woman was uttering bullshit.

"Either you speak in your senses or you cut the damn call. I don't pay you for thinking about party sharty 24*7," Reeva said coldly, not wanting to converse with the lawyer Josey's assistant anymore.

"I am absolutely serious, Ms. Reeva. Any marriage done in an unsound mind where individuals are incapable of giving consent due to mental incapacity as a result of intoxication is considered Null and Void Ab Initio i.e. invalid in the eyes of law since the very beginning. This is why go and get talli because alcohol is the cure to all human problems," Twinkle blessed like a gyaani baba giving a philosophical lecture before Reeva cut her call abruptly.

Reeva smirked as she had finally found the way out of this mess. Aditya was already not in his senses and now all she had to do was to get drunk and then blame their marriage on alcohol. Ab toh yeh shaadi hokar bhi nahi hogi, Reeva said to herself.

A part of her dimmed at that thought while the other twinkled concerning her profound hatred towards relationships. She can be anything but a wife. She was better off without that kind of trauma.

She exited the trial room wearing the beautiful wedding dress, not feeling any less of a bride despite knowing the reality of her upcoming marriage. The feeling of walking down the aisle with the man you saw even the freckle of the future doesn't know how to take a backseat, even if the mind knows it's temporary. Even if the mind knows it's a contract or a farce.
