Party

It was 7th february, Casey's birthday. Tonight was her house party and although her parents told her 'invite only!', she decided to take the risk and allowed plus ones. This meant that a lot of people from Johnny's former school would probably arrive down to his popularity and maybe Lia would; then we could talk to make her party less awkward, hopefully. I knew Johnny alone was coming for sure, anyway. And even though i vowed to myself a couple of days ago that i would ignore him and act casual, i still felt in need to try and impress him - maybe make him regret what he did... That wasn't going to happen - that stubborn moron.

The party started at 8pm and finished at midnight, but Alicia, lucy, Lauren and I were staying over until morning. It was half six and i still hadn't gotten ready, i needed to get up from laying on my bed watching the same, usual shit i watched on netflix. So i pulled myself up from my bed and stood there, in front of my body-length mirror, for a while. I stared at my disappointing face and tried to decide on what exactly to wear. I took a brush to my matted hair and untangled it bit by bit, then i took to choosing a dress out of the three nice ones i have. Two were black mini dresses, one with one shoulder and the other with two off-the-shoulder sleeves and an open back; the third dress was looser and had thin stripes (black and white) and two thin straps. Running my hand across them whilst they hung in my wardrobe, i finally picked the second dress with the open back, seeing as i had only ever worn it once and i was sure nobody that would be at the party had seen it before. After slipping on the dress, i took to the makeup. I filled in my eyebrows to a good shape, put on two layers of mascara so my lashes looked thick enough, then i put a slight bit of pencil eyeliner on, keeping it close to my lash-line so it wasn't overly obvious. I also put on some concealer under my eyes and on my T-line as well as a tad of foundation. On my feet I wore a pair of white strappy heels. I left my hair slightly waved and loose, and wore a pair of pearl earrings and i was done.

When it turned half seven, i left the house and only had to walk round to Casey's as she only lived about half a mile away - luckily. Crossing the road, the usual pre-party worries kicked in; was i over dressed or under dressed?...
When i arrived i was the only one there, and so i watched people file in with Casey as she welcomed people into her rather large house. Several recognisable people passed me, not leo or Lia or... Johnny.
After about ten minutes of standing with a can of beer in my hand and getting talking to a group of nice people, leo finally walked in and upto me. "Hey Blakey!" He said and hugged me lightly. He was with around five other boys: Cameron, Shay, Brad and two other guys who I knew vaguely. "Hey Brad, hey Cam and shaymus. I know you dont I?" I asked the other two quite rudely. They replied with a yes and re-introduced themselves; one was named Michael and the other called Rob. Both of them were over six foot and Definitely not lanky - In fact they were very, very muscular it was kinda almost scary. "You look amazing tonight." The slightly taller one, rob, whispered into my ear and winked. He was attractive, but not my type. I guess you would feel very secure if you were with him, but imagine what it would be like when he got angry!
There were approximately twelve of us stood in a circle talking casually when all of a sudden leo looked past my shoulder and waved at someone. I wasnt exactly sure who it was until i turned around and immediately blushed at who stood directly in front of me.
I turned to face a familiar person, and as i looked up slightly i saw Johnny right there about an inch away from me. He looked down at me with his eyes, his chin slightly tilted up and he wore a slight smirk. It was as if he didn't see me, he just pushed past me and stepped over towards leo and the others, fist-bumping them each and then standing beside Lucy. For a few moments, he swivelled his dark brown eyes around and everything seemed to be silent, and then everyone began talking again - it seemed it was other than him and I. Before i could look away, his eyes fixed with mine and for a few seconds neither of us unlocked it.
"Isnt that right, J?" Brad butted in, nudging Johnny's arm causing him to become alert again. He suddenly smiled and nodded his head, glancing back at me and then joining in on another conversation.
Leo turned to look at me. "Oi," he said, "just pretend he's not here babe." He jokily wrapped one of his arms over my shoulder and swayed until i began to laugh. The rest of the night wasn't as awkward - i just enjoyed myself and made the most of the evening.
