The Best Hugs Ever (tyler josephxjosh dun)

"Dude what's wrong?" Josh asks me as I slump onto the couch. I'm feeling rather gloomy today, and I know that Josh can tell. He's my best friend, so it would make sense for him to know when I'm feeling down.

"I asked her out." I say truthfully. I can't hide anything from Josh. But I don't want to say her name or it'll only upset me more.

Josh's mouth forms an O shape, "Well shit man. What did she say?" He asks, not saying her name either.

"She said no." I mumble, wrapping my arms around myself. It was so embarrassing. I thought she liked me, but apparently not. She must have just been leading me on this whole time, and that's so heartbreaking. Even after I told her about the things I think about at night, and I've only ever told Josh. She rejected me.

"Why would she say no? You're brilliant. You're the raddest dude I know!" Josh says and I can't help but smile at that.

"Thanks Josh. But she must have had a reason." I say, but Josh shakes his head.

"Her reason must have been because she's a straight up bitch. If I were gay and you were gay, I would take you on the best dates ever, because you deserve the world. No one is as talented as you Tyler; not that I know of anyways. I can't play these sick beats without you because you give me hope for this world. So forget about that bitch. She doesn't deserve you. There's gonna be a girl out there that you'll meet one day and she'll make you smile and she won't reject you. Also," Josh pauses, then continues, "She's going to have to put with me being over a lot because no way are we ever going to have a falling out. Jesus Tyler, you're fucking rad and super incredible."

I just stare at Josh for a second before my face cracks into a wide grin. I basically jump on him, hugging Josh tight. He hugs me back, and he probably has the best hugs ever. "No one has ever said that to me. That's like the nicest thing ever." I say.

Josh says, "Well it's all true." I smile and I continue hugging him. He smells really good too.

"Hey Josh?" I say after a while.

"Yeah?"

"I'm glad you're my best friend."
