Ulyana's pov

I woke up early and went to check on Faina.
I was surprised to find her dressed and on her feet. Ivan must have done wonders, she seemed fine.

"Are you okay? I mean is it okay for you to be going to school or even walking with that ankle?" I asked with concern .

" I am more than okay. I don't feel any pain and the swelling has gone down. Plus I don't want to give anyone here the satisfaction of seeing me weak. I'm good, I can stand just fine." She defended herself. Her ego will be her downfall one day.

" These uniforms are ridiculous." She whines.

" Stop, there is nothing wrong with these uniforms. You look great in that skirt." I tell her and she just frowns. Ok maybe great is an exaggeration but she still looks good, a bit weird though since she usually wears a skirt the size of a belt to school. This is all new to her.

"I'd look great if the skirt was a quarter of what I have on right now." She shoots. See,it had to be the length bothering her. I think Vladimir got us our uniform, he certainly had an agenda with the skirts.

" It will be  a cold day in hell before Vladimir and our brothers let you wear something like your old skirt. Sorry, you don't look as bad as you think. You look good in everything anyways." I say trying to comfort her.
I stay for a bit and   leave her to go take a bath and get dressed. Faina and I were the last to arrive at the table. The man from last night was sitting at the table with us. Isn't he part of security? Faina noticed it too and of course she couldn't keep her mouth shut.

" So servants sit at the table with us. Probably why they tend to forget their place." Faina commented. She was definitely still angry at him about last night, she doesn't normally act like this, especially with the help.

" I'm glad you decided to join us and you both look good in those uniforms, wear them with pride. This is Mikhail Roman Baikov, my brother, right hand man and close friend.  We call him Roman, there is no one I trust more in this world than Roman." Vladimir introduces the man from yesterday to us.  I think he did so to let Faina know to watch how she talks about Roman. They seem really close, he is probably like family to all of them.

" Shouldn't you be in bed?" Ivan asks, not sparing us the attention from everyone else, and we are caught.

" I'm feeling much better and that's why I decided to go to school today." Faina answered, leaving key details out. Everyone else just minded their own business. Breakfast went well, I guess, no drama, even Valentino was quiet.

"Faina and Ulyana....Ramon is going to be your bodyguard"

I raised an eyebrow, surprised by the announcement. "Bodyguard?" I repeated, glancing at Faina, who looked just as taken aback.

Vladimir nodded, his expression serious. "Yes, I've arranged for Roman to escort you both to and from school and everywhere else you both want to go. Your safety is my top priority, and I won't take any chances."

Faina's eyes narrowed, her gaze flicking to Roman, who was watching her with an unreadable expression.

"I don't need a bodyguard, especially him Isn't there anyone else?" she protested, her voice laced with defiance.

"Faina, this isn't up for debate. Roman will be your shadow until further notice. Roman is perfect for this job, he is the only person I can trust with your safety. " Vladamir's face turned stern as he spoke.

I shot Faina a warning glance, sensing the tension building between her and Vladimir. This was not the time to push his buttons.

Roman stood up, his movements fluid and effortless. "Shall we get going, girls? We don't want to be late for your first day."

Faina's scowl deepened, but she reluctantly got up from her seat, her eyes flashing with resentment. I followed suit, trying to intervene before things escalated further.

" Have a great first day at school, girls." Klara said. This is the first thing she has ever said to us ever since we just popped up. I knew Faina wasn't going to reply since she is irritated so I just gave her a warm smile and walked out.
