Ulyana's pov

My mind was still reeling from the conversation I had with Mama. I had always known that my father was out of the picture. I even assumed that he could be dead. I never thought he was living in Russia. So I'm like part Arabian and part Russian.

A million questions were swirling in my head. What is his name? Would he accept us as his daughters?

My thoughts turned to Faina, who was busy typing away on her laptop in the living room. She probably knows everything there is to know about him, so why not ask her. I then got up and walked over to my sister.

"You look so pretty today. I literally can't take my eyes off you. Is that a new hairstyle you've got there "?I said, plopping down beside her on the couch.

Faina looked up, a hint of curiosity in her eyes. "You are being really weird and shady. What's up, Clone? Ask away, what do you want?"

I took a deep breath. "I want to know more about our father. I know Mom said she would talk more about it once she is back but she is always singing that same old song. Always promising to address the matter later.."

Faina's expression turned guarded. "What do you want to know? There is not much to him. His name is Vladimir Novikov. He is really old, he is like 48,he is married, he has two sons with his wife and then there are the four sons he has with our mom. Word on the street is that he is the world's biggest asshole, well maybe not the world's but he is an asshole nonetheless and he always gets his way and when he doesn't he goes mad. Oh and he is the Russian mafia don. That's all there is to know about him." Well I was a bit disappointed, almost everything she told me is his Biographical information but then again she probably got all that information from the web or well asking around about him.I think I'd like to know him as a person.

Faina sighed, her shoulders sagging. Faina's eyes turned serious. "Oh I know that look. You have to promise me that you won't do anything crazy, like trying to contact him or going to Russia on your own."

"Fai would it be so bad if I did try to contact him?" I said with my voice barely above a whisper.

"Take me to meet him. Please I know you can find out where he lives within one minute, if you haven't already. We will go to Russia and come back before Mama returns. I just want to meet him, please, think of it as a birthday gift. Come on half," I say as I take her hands in mine.

"What? No way, Ulyana. That's not a good idea. You don't just walk into someone's life and tell him you're his daughter. It's an awful plan." She answers without giving it a second thought. I couldn't even hide the sadness on my face as I sulked about it.

"Fine, I will take you to Russia to meet your daddy. Are you happy now, and don't think I don't see how you are emotionally blackmailing me you little shit," she adds

I couldn't help but smile as I heard Faina agree to take me to Russia. I knew it wasn't going to be easy, but I was determined to meet our father. I don't think she was even a tiny bit excited about it.

"Really? You'll take me?" I asked, trying to contain my excitement.

Faina rolled her eyes. "Yes, really. But don't expect me to be all smiles and rainbows about it. This is a bad idea, Ulyana, I can feel it in my gut."

I grinned, feeling a sense of victory. "Don't worry so much. It will all be fine. You have to stay positive. What could possibly go wrong?"

"Fine. Let's start making arrangements. But we have to be careful. We don't know what kind of situation we're walking into." Faina said as she sighed and shook her head.

I nodded, feeling a sense of anticipation building up inside me. I was finally going to meet my father, and I was ready for whatever came next.
Over the next few hours, Faina and I made plans for our trip to Russia. We booked flights, arranged for accommodations, and even managed to get our hands on some information about my father's whereabouts.
As we worked, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and nervousness. What would my father be like? Would he even want to meet me?
I pushed the thoughts aside, focusing on the task at hand. I was going to meet my father, and nothing was going to stop me.

As the sun began to set, Faina and I sat back, exhausted.

"Are you sure you want to do this? Once we go there the is no turning back you know" Faina asked, looking at me with a serious expression. I've never known my sister as someone who was never up for a challenge. Nothing ever worries her, she is always ready for anything which is why I don't understand why she is so worried and hesitant about this.

" And if Mama finds out about this don't worry I will have your back even though I don't agree with this. I do not know when you and I swapped personalities because a crazy idea like this is my style and you would normally be the one trying to talk me out of this. Just know that if it were up to me we would never breathe the same air as that man but I know it is important to you so whatever. Vladimir better not disappoint you too, Clone," Fai

"Yes, I'm sure. Let's do this." I nodded, feeling a sense of determination. Russia here we come. I hope I won't regret crossing paths with Vladimir Novikov, my father.
