Faina's pov

I've concluded that Vladimir Novikov has gone crazy. I mean who has their child skip school for a road trip, or whatever this is. The car stopped and we came out and I was met by Vladimir's jet.

"Vladimir I'm not getting inside of that jet if you don't tell me where you two are taking me. For all I know you could be sending me to get married to some mafia kingpin." I say, arrogantly as I put my foot down both literally and figuratively.

"Don't be foolish Faina. The only way you are ever getting close to a boy, let alone marrying one is once I'm cold and six feet under. "I have business to attend here in Spain. I need to find someone, but I don't know where to look. That's where you come in, Faina. I was hoping you could help me track him down."Vladimir's eyes locked onto mine as he explained. Well this trip just got a whole lot interesting, and to think I almost went to torture myself by spending a day in school. Thank god for all of Vladimir's loose screws.

"Fine, I'll help you, no need to get on your knees and beg now old Vlad." I said with a smirk and then got inside of the jet. Mikhail gave me my laptop, tablet and smartwatch. They really had time to figure all of this out huh?

"Where is the rat we are sniffing out?" I ask

"We are certain that at the moment he is in Spain, we are not entirely sure which part of it." Vladimir answers. Okay, I can work with that.

" Name?"

" Eric Svensson." Mikhail was the one who replied this time. I started scanning his name and all the possible matches. I wasted no time, I started hacking the surveillance cameras all around the nearby cities as I tried to detect his phone signal from the calls he had made threatening Vladimir. The flight was probably going to take about five to six hours depending on where I landed the location of our rat.

After two hours of working and napping in between I found him.

"I found him, he is in Madrid. He is currently hiding out in Malasaña"

As we navigated the streets of Malasaña we got closer and closer to nabbing Eric Svensson. Mikhail picked the lock, probably because he didn't want to alarm Eric. We managed to get in and we were quickly spotted by Eric and some woman who was sitting half naked on the kitchen counter. Before I could even swallow my saliva Vladimir's blade had already landed on Eric's neck. The woman was screaming as Eric's blood splashed on her face and he landed on the floor.

" Such fair skin you have." Mikhail said as he stroked the woman's cheek before snapping her neck and she dies with her fair skin. Vladimir drags Eric's body, I'm assuming it is to the van.

"Don't worry I got chicken legs over here." I told Mikail as I dragged the woman, I don't even know why I'm name-calling a dead person right now.
Once we had put their bodies at the back of the van we got inside of the van and Mikhail drove away. Mikhail stopped the car at a small building, wait is that a cross I see.

" Please don't tell me we are burying them next to the church." I tell them while squinting my eyes.

" Well we are. It is not the first place one would look for a body, so it will have to do. Start digging, witch." Mikhail says. I faked a smile in return because he called me a witch. The three of us took turns and dug really deep. Mikhail poured acid on their bodies, I guess to remove our fingerprints. Once we were satisfied with the holes we had dug we threw the corpses inside and then buried them.

" Mind telling me why we were hunting Eric ?" I ask a burning question.

" He knew too much, just like you." Mikhail said while playing with his hands. Was that a threat?

"Eric tried messing with Roman so we had to take care of him. He was going to ruin a lot of things had we let him run his mouth. Don't worry, this isn't a threat, I know you wouldn't do anything to harm this family. I trust you." Vladimir explained, better than what Mikhail gave me. My face turned to Vladimir with a mischievous glint in my eye.

"You know, after a job like this, I usually celebrate at this amazing club. You could buy me a drink." I suggest.

Vladimir's expression turned stern, his voice firm. "You're pushing your luck, Faina. You're underage, and I won't be buying you a beer. You shouldn't even know what beer tastes like at your age. You're still just a little girl." Well I had to try. I thought I had the world at my feet, I mean Vladimir literally made me skip school so I could help him with a murder that too in another country. Terrible parenting does not get any worse than this.

My face fell, but Vladimir's words were laced with a protectiveness that caught me off guard. As we drove off with Mikhail my curiosity got the better of her. Who was Vladimir murdering now?

Forty minutes later, Vladimir instructed me to get out of the car. As I stepped onto the sidewalk, my eyes widened in surprise. We were standing outside a quaint bar, the sign creaking in the gentle breeze.

My gaze snapped back to Vladimir, a realization dawning on me. He was either an idiot or a complete softy when it came to the important women in his life. Maybe, just maybe, he was both.
