Third person's pov

Faina's eyes slowly fluttered open, her mind foggy and her body aching. She was met with an unfamiliar ceiling, and a faint smell of lavender wafted through the air. She tried to sit up, but a wave of dizziness washed over her, forcing her back onto the plush pillows.

As she struggled to regain her bearings, a figure emerged from the shadows. He was tall, with chiseled features and piercing blue eyes that seemed to bore into her soul.

"Welcome, Faina," he said, his voice low and smooth. "I see you're finally awake. My name is Ambrose Kravaritis and I'm your husband."

Faina's mind reeled as she tried to process Ambrose's   words. Husband? What was he talking about? She tried to remember how she got there, but her memories were hazy.

"You've been with us for a few days now. You were...unwell. " He handed her a cup of steaming coffee, his eyes never leaving hers.

"What do you mean I'm your wife?" she asked. Faina's grip on the cup tightened as she took a sip.

"We had a lovely ceremony. In Vietnam, I paid some actors to play your parents so that the court would agree. " He handed her a few pictures, the priest was held at gunpoint, Faina was unconscious.

Faina's eyes widened as she looked at the pictures."What have you done to me? This can't be. You can't Marry me I'm sixteen and I did not give consent."

"I went through a lot of trouble to make this happen. I thought you were 18 or 19 and I was surprised to learn you were only 16. We had to make some adjustments and last minute arrangements . Faina you are my wife. We have our entire lives together because you won't be getting rid of me very easily."

Faina's mind reeled as she stared at Ambrose, horror creeping up her spine. She was married? To this stranger? Without her consent?

She looked down at her hand, and her heart sank. She had a beautiful ring on her finger, the ring's center, a truly breathtaking diamond takes pride of place. Four slender silver prongs rise from the band, gently cradling the diamond without overpowering it They must have used her fingerprints to forge her signature on the marriage certificate.Faina felt a wave of panic wash over her. She was trapped, married to a man she didn't know, and bound to a life she didn't want.

Ambrose's pov

" Why would you do this to me? I didn't want to get married to you." Faina asked, her tone was laced with anger and frustration.

" Don't flatter yourself I didn't want to marry you either. My men were supposed to kidnap a girl who we were going to sell off, we were missing one more and we had found her. They had requested someone tall, slim, with olive skin and dark hair. I get why my men were confused when they took you but you were not who they wanted. Believe me I was going to have you killed because you were of no use to us but then my daughter saw the picture my men sent of you.  She liked you." I explained.

"Your daughter?" she asked. Faina's expression softened lightly.

"Yes. My daughter. she can be... persuasive. When she saw your picture, she became obsessed with the idea of meeting you. She wanted you to be her mother."She wished that you were her mother, and... well, I suppose that's why you're here now." I said bluntly. It wasn't the entire truth but it will have to do for now.

" What? I cannot be someone's mom. I'm a kid myself." Faina shouted, still in shock.

" Too bad because you have three hours to grow up, we are having dinner in three hours. I want to give my daughter the good news. And Faina, it would be wise of you to play your role in my daughter's life. Don't make her cry or ill treat  her, don't overthink it, you are like her nanny, in a way.  If you fail at being her mother forget about ever seeing your family again, you will be sent where I sent those girls, surely someone would pay a high price for you." With that being said I turned and walked away. Leaving her to get her act together. Her livelihood depended on it.

We waited for about ten minutes until the madam finally came down for dinner. She walked up to us, led by our housemaid, Sevilla. She sat down and didn't greet us, someone could use a few manners.

" How nice of you to join us. You had us waiting." I said while gritting my teeth.

" Hy, I'm Agape Kravaritis. Are you my new nanny or one of my dad's special friends. You are probably my new nanny because daddy's special friends are not allowed to come anywhere near me, I usually bump into them by chance." Agape ranted. A little over sharing there if you ask me. My gaze was now on Faina. I waited to hear her reply.

" I am neither his special friend nor am I your nanny. My name is Faina and I'm.... I'm your dad's wife and your new mommy." She said. I awaited Agape's reaction I did do all of this for her after all. Agape looked at me for a while before flying from her seat and jumping me with a hug.

"Daddy you really got her to be my mommy? I'm so happy, Daddy! In fact I'm the happiest girl in the world. Thank you sooooo much." Agape exclaimed, her small arms wrapped tightly around my neck.

"I'm glad you're happy, Agape," I smiled, feeling a warmth in my chest as I hugged my daughter back. We started eating but Faina did not touch her food.

" Eat!" I commanded, getting her attention because I could see that her mind was not here.

" I'm not hungry." She said in a bored tone.

" Eat! It wasn't a request." I said sternly. She glared at me and then pushed her plate forward to show she wasn't going to eat. She is stubborn alright but she will bend to my rules soon enough. Agape and I finished our meal and I accompanied her to her room and then tucked her in. I found Faina in the exact spot we left her.

" Sulk later, you have a job to do. You have a year to learn to love my daughter and become a good mother to her. If you fail..... A tragedy might just occur, I may end up widowed ." I said and then left her to think about all of this
