"What the hell does that even mean?" Kayla said loudly. "That's what I'm saying. "Your blondie is crazy for you" what the fuck does that mean?" I said after reading of the text I received from Morgan this morning. "She's so confusing." Kayla stated. "Tell me about it I'm to hung over for this shit." I said whilst rubbing my head that was currently pounding thanks to last nights events.
"The signals are mixed." Kayla joked. "Like why are you bringing another bitch around but when I do the same you're mad?" She said breathlessly as she was laughing quite hard at this point. "THANK YOU!" I said pointing to her before busting out in my own fit of laughter.
Not sure what we're laughing at. Maybe her audacity. Because bitch what the literal fuck. Paige was just with another girl. Aka her way of letting me down once again. So why is she all mad now that I'm dancing with her teammate. I'm not even in to Morgan like that. I mean I think she's cute. But in a awww way not fuck me way.
"Oh wait it's Morgan." I sat up and watched as my phone buzzed in my hand for a moment before I answered it. "Heyyy Jj what's up." She said obviously out of breath. Practice must have just gotten done. "Not much why?" I said quickly. "I was just wondering if I could come over?" She questioned.
"Yes please I need some explaining." "I'm on my way right now." She said before hanging up. It wasn't long before we heard a knock on the door. Kayla went and opened it and Morgan and her made their way back to my room. "I'll give you guys a moment to talk." Kayla said before closing the door.
"What up morg." I said as she sat on my bed. "Ok so last night after the whole thing. I went back to the dorm and Paige was pissed. Like pissed and she said something's and I feel like you deserve to know." She said nervously. "Go ahead." I nodded her on.
"Well just to preface this at the beginning of the year I may have admitted to finding you attractive. And I may or may not still think that." She said all this whilst her head was hanging down embarrassed. Well I was not expecting that. Well I mean I kind of assumed Morgan swung that way but not for me.
I just nodded urging her to continue. "Well last night Paige confronted me. She said something along the lines of even if I do manage to fuck you, you will go running back to her. That you always have and you always will. Because you love her. And I said something's like I could give you the time of day and she couldn't. Blah. Blah blah blah. Basically she knows you love her." She said finally looking up to make eye contact with me.
Wow. All these years I've thought that she's just clueless and couldn't care less. But she's know. She knows now. "But that's not all. Aubrey came out of her room a little after dragging her off down the hallway. And said she thinks she's finally coming to her senses. And she just has some doubts she needs to get over. Which I'm assuming means she loves you too." She cut off my train of thought with the words I never thought I would hear.
At that moment we heard a knock on the door and assuming it was Kayla I watched as it creeped open. When I saw my 6'0 blondie standing there I was shocked. I watched as her face fell seeing me and Morgan sitting there together. Before either of us said anything she turned around and started to walk away.
"Paige wait." I called as I followed after her. I stopped her in the hallway but she didn't turn around to face me. "It's not what it looks like me and Morgan we're just talking please don't leave." I said trying to grab hold of her arm. At that moment Morgan squeezed past us waving to me before exiting the apartment. It wasn't long before Kayla who was sitting on the couch followed.
She let out a heavy sigh before turning to face me. I lead her back to my room and closed the door. Before both of us sat on my bed a good distance between us. "I'm sorry. You know I hate when we fight." She said her head hanging low and her voice soft and sad.
"I was dumb and mean. You didn't deserve any of that." She said much sadder her voice cracking as tears rolled down her cheeks. "Oh no no no. Don't cry." I said moving over to her carefully straddling her lap and holding her head in my hands. Gently whipping the tears from her cheeks.
"You know I can't even be real mad at you." I said smiling at her softly. She just leaned in resting her head on my shoulder and wrapping her arms around my waist hugging me tightly. I leaned in back hugging her because I know she needed it.
She's my girl. Always has been always will be. She was right. I will always come back to. Always have always will. Because I know where my home is. But more importantly I know where my heart is.
