Minnesota state championship game

Juliet jones

This is the day that Paige has been working so hard for.  Growing up I knew she was good at basketball. But now when I watch her on the court I see a girl bursting with opportunity. She is so amazing at what she does. She doesn't just play the game she lives the game. She passes like she has eyes on back of her head. And shoots like it just her on the court.

This past year she's been working extra hard. She knows exactly where she wants to go and the only way to get there is hard work. Unconn is already practically begging for her to sign so I know where she's going but I'm glad she still has the work ethic and determination to get better.

As soon as she told me they had made it to the championship game I booked a flight and bought the tickets. There was no way I'm missing this game. I'm going to be staying with Paige's family considering Hopkins isn't far from Minneapolis.

Though I am not a Hopkins royal I would consider myself pretty spirted. I'm wearing a black fitted long sleeve and Paige's white jersey. I have blue and black party beads and glitter in my hair. Which is going to be almost impossible to get out. And don't forget the "#1" etched onto my right cheek.

Drew and I got ready together decking ourselves out in school spirit. I had flown in earlier that day but Paige had already left the house at that point so I hadn't seen her yet. Drew is so excited to see me as usual. He's practically my little brother too. Durning the summers when her parents were working and she had club basketball, her parents would pay me to watch Drew and because of that were very close.

Once we're ready Drew begs me to take my new car. For my 16th birthday my grandparents bought me a white Mercedes Benz for when I'm back In town. After I said yes which didn't take much convincing from me mainly Paige's dad who's convinced Drew is going to stain the light brown leather seats somehow. We got in the car and headed for Minnesota university.

We got the best seats in the house front row. When the players come out to warm up Paige waves to me and smiles her big goofy smile. Once it's about time for them to head back to the locker rooms before the game, Drew says it's time for him and Paige to do their hand shake.

So my hand in his we stepped down onto the court and snuck our way over to Paige who was standing near the chairs. "Piagey." Drew said to get her attention. She turned around to face us her face lighting up. "Drew hey buddy." She said reaching over and picking him up. I watched and smiled.

"We need to do our hand shake for good luck." He said to her. In response she put her hand out starting the very long hand shake. Once they finished she set him back down on the ground he ran off but not before wishing her good luck and telling her he loved her. When he was off she turned her body to look to me.

After a knowing look I stepped closer to her and she wrapped me up in a tight hug. Once she was done I told her good luck before I began to make my way off the court. But not before she stopped me and spun me around. "I don't get anything for good luck." She said that stupid smirk pulling onto her face.

She's so hot and she knows it. Especially in this stupid basketball uniform. She's confident enough to draw you in from a mile away. And the way she looks down on me considering the fact she almost a whole foot taller than me.

I groaned and grabbed her by her Chin placing a short peck on her right cheek. She smirked and lightly tapped my ass as I turned around to walk away. I felt her watching me as she walked backwards back over to her team. After that they headed off to the locker room and she sent me a wink from across the court.

They did it they won the championship game. I was so excited to celebrate with Paige but of course not that I'm surprised she celebrated with her team first. Then all her fans. Over the past year she has been gaining a social media following even been asked for autographs.

Then finally she found me. When she did she scooped me up in her arms my legs wrapping around her waist and her holding my ass. We celebrated with her family and she was very obviously in high spirits. "You're going to have to get that framed." She said as she pulled on the collar of my jersey. Well her jersey.

We convinced her parents to let us go for a drive and get some food. And that we would be home no latter than 11 pm. We made our way out to my car and then to a restaurant where the rest of her team was meeting up. It's a local pizza restaurant that's way too small for this many people.

I know most of the girls as we all went to elementary school together. We all sit around and stuff our faces with pizza. There's not enough chairs so I sit on Paige's lap. She gently brushes her hand up and down my thigh making me blush. Least to say I definitely earned some dirty looks from a few of the girls friends.

As it got latter we did karaoke and Paige was having the time of her life. Once her and Amaya finish absolutely belting bohemian rhapsody by queen. She came and sat back down. I sat back down on her lap when I felt her hand rubbing up and down my lower back. She pushed my hair off to one side of my shoulder and brought her mouth closer to my ear.

"We should get out of here." She whispered suggestively. Somehow we ended up parking my car in a field near the restaurant and in the back seat. When she kissed me I felt my heart beginning to pound. She knows just how to touch me.

Never in a million years would I have thought I would be making out with Paige. But here I am and I love it. We start to get more into it. And the widows start to fog up. Our brains get fuzzy and our hair gets tangled. We make noises and let out heavy breaths. But we stop before we go too far.

We haven't been that far since my birthday in May. The entire summer we kept our clothes on. And even now we stop before we can ruin things. Not that it would ruin things for me. If anything I would be grateful. A sign that solidifies how Paige feels about me. A knowledge that I'm not just hopelessly in love with my best friend. Who I'm worried only sees me as a fling.

A phase. Whatever she sees me as I'm not sure. Because the sign never comes. She never shows me if she needs me or wants me. All I feel is used and hopeless.

Maybe we should have never went that far in the first place because I have a feeling we'll never go back.
