Always fighting!

I wake up by the sound of clatering in the kitchen.

I walk out and see my brother messing with the pans and trays looking for something.

"What you looking for?" I ask and he turns to look at me.

"Nothing. " He says rudley and this anger shit is passing me off

"You can't be mad at me forever." I say and cross my arms.

"Watch me Beatrice." Eww. I hate my full name and he knows it.

"You know what's crazy. The fact that your pissed because I didn't message you and yet you did the same thing." I start to get more smartassey (is that a word?)

"Check your damn messages." I open my phone and see that he did in fact message me at around 3.30.

Jb: hey bea, I'm fine just wanted to let you know. Don't worry.

"I didn't see that, I was asleep." I state and he looks at me like I've just grown a third head.

"Thats the difference between you and me. You fall asleep when something goes wrong but me? I stay up all fucking night waiting for a call, text, something."

"John b I'm not gonna argue with you again about this. I'm sorry I didn't call or text I know I should have and that's on me. "

He hugs me tightly. "I'm still pissed don't get me wrong but I love you. I'm just worried is all."

"Thanks big bro." I say and poke his side. He squirms and let's me go. There's a knock on the door and I go to answer it. "Hey rafe um-" I look over to my brother who went back to looking in the pans and then looks back at rafe.

"I don't think my brother will be willing to let me go out tonight." He nods and looks away.

"That sucks, what if we all went to the beach. Together." And rafe ends up drowning because of my crazy ass brother. Here we go.

I hear footsteps behind me and then that low voice I know too well.

"What are you doing here rafe?" Jj asks and I turn around to look at him.

"What's it matter to you asshole." I say as I walk out to rafe and he snakes his hand around my waist.

"I was going to take everyone surfing. Wanna come?" Rafe asks and I look taken aback, what the fuck.

"Umm. Actually yeah can kie and jb come to?" Jj asks and I sigh. This is a nightmare.

"Yeah sure bring drinks too." He says and turns us around to walk the other way.

"What the fuck rafe" i push his chest when I hear jj get back inside.

"Just wanted to make sure jj and you are for real done." He says and grabs my hips with both hands.

"I wouldn't of came to you last night if we weren't." I say as a fact.

Twenty minutes later

Me and Sarah are on the towels by the water, kie and jj have already walked off to the dock, and John b is in the water staying the furthest from rafe he can.

"Sarah! Come join me." John b yells and Sarah stands up kind of quickly.

"Sorry girl." She says and i wave her off as she runs to the water.

Jj walks up to me and I shade my eyes with my hand.

"Move, your in my way I can't see rafe." I say and he lowers himself to his knees and looks in my eyes.

"Can we talk, like for real talk." He asks and I stand up slowly. He follows shortly after.

We walk to a nearby branch out of earshot of anyone around.

"Talk." I say curtly.

"Listen I know i fucked up but what you saw wasn't what you thought it was." He says and reaches for my hand.

"Don't. Look she kissed you you didn't stop her and you told me you like her" i shrug and sit on the branch.

"So it sound bad. Look we have been friends for the last 5 years but now, I mean it's different. She's different." He says and sits next to me.

"What does that mean, she's different. What she just decided she loved you after five years and you gave in." Is say and he stands.

"No bea it's not like that." He says sweetly and he makes me hate my nickname.

"So you didn't drop me and our relationship the second she told you she loved you." I stand and start walking back to the towels but jj grabs my wrist.

"I dont want you to hate me bea, im sorry for what i did and I'm sory I hurt you. I really am." I look in his eyes, I see something real. Regret.

"I could never hate you, though I fucking want to I can't. Right now I need time but eventually I'll get over it." I say and he lets me go.

"What about kie?" I turn and look at hom and points my finger at him.

"Thats gonna take a while." He nods and we go back to the towles were the rest of the people are and I hear some yelling.

"What the fuck. Is that rafe and jb?" Jj says and i start booking it to where they are.

Low and behold, there they are fighting and so far I can't tell who's wining.
