"I warned you, you asshole!" I hear John b yell, and I see them throwing punches left and right.

Sarah's yelling at them to stop, but kies just standing there watching them.

"Jj, do something." I say, and he runs over to them and trays to pull John b away.

"Rafe knock it off." I say as I walk over and try to push rafe away from John b

"He's the one who punched me out of nowhere." Rafe says, and i look at John b.

"In my defense -" he says, but I cut him off.

"You don't have a defense here, jb." I turn to rafe.  "Go over there. I'm coming." I point to the dock, and he leaves.

"Look, bea, i warned him not to touch you again, and he didn't listen so." He says and shrugs.

"That does not mean you can pounce on him at the beach out of nowhere." I say lowkey yelling.

"He does have a point." Jj says, and i look at him dead faced.

"No, he doesn't. God, you're both such men." I flip them off as I walk over to rafe.

"Did you say anything to provoke him?" I ask rafe, and he turns to look at me.

"No, why would you even ask that?" I shrug and sit on the edge of the dock with my feet in the water.

"I don't know, but I believe you." He sits next to me, and I rest my head on his shoulder.

"I would fight everybody for you, babe." He says, and i look up at him.

"Thanks. I would say the same but I fight bitches for no reason so...." we both Laugh and I sigh.

"I'm glad you're here bea, your the best thing to happen to me." He says and kisses my forehead.

Oh no. "You're the best thing to happen to me." He said that before, then kie happened.

"Yeah, thanks." I say hesitantly, and I hear jogging from behind us.

"Beatrice were leaving. Let's go." John b says, i stand up. I need to go home.

"Yeah, ok. Umm, rafe, I'll see you tomorrow or sometime. Bye." I walk away with John b and get in the van.

"Are you ok?" Jj asks me and I nod.

"I'm fine. I think." He tilts his head a little and says, "what happened?"

"He said something and I'm a little worried." I shouldn't tell him about this. I'm not gonna tell John b though.

"What did he say?" He asks and just as he says it we arrive at the chateau.

"Lets go. Bea, now." John b says and i get out of the van not sure if I want to tell him.

Jj follows us into the house and kie and Sarah end up leaving.

I got to my room and jj shuts the door behind him when he follows me.

"What happened? For real." He asks and sits down.

I walk over to the closet and grab some sleep clothes and then turn to jj.

"Remeber when you said that I was the best thing to happen to you?" I ask and he thinks for a second before nodding.

"Yeah why?" He asks and I say, "he said that to me."

He looks at me for a second before looking away. "What do you think that means."

"I honestly don't know yet but I'm worried. Because you told me that and then left me for another woman."

He sighs and then rubs the back of his neck. "I know you don't want to hear it but he's rafe. He's not a relationship person." He says and i grab my stuff and walk to the bathroom.

I shut the door and about three minutes later I walk out and turn the lights off. "I hope he's not playing me and actually likes me."

Jj lies his blankets and stuff on the floor and lays down before yawning. "I wish the best for you." He says and then we both go to sleep.

The next day:

I'm in the kitchen when I hear a grumpy John b walking in to the living room.

"Couldn't sleep?" I ask and I see him shake his head.

"Could've but I didn't." He says and i put my hands on my hips.

"I'm so done with this angry older brother bullshit." I say and he looks at me like I've grown a third head.

"You were just mad at me for punching rafe in the face." He says and i shrug.

"I don't really care anymore. You punched him. He punched you back. It happened." I walk over to the couch and sit down.

"Ok. I stayed up because you and jj are still sharing a room." I smack him on the arm and shake my head.

"No. That boat sailed and then sunk. Ok. He slept on the floor and, need i remind you, he left me for kie."

"Ok, but the way he still looks at you pisses me off." He says and rubs the back of his neck.

"What's that supposed to mean?" I ask. Jj can't still like me. Right?

"Like he looks at you like I've never seen but he doesn't look at kie the same." He shrugs and stands.

"Maybe I'm just pissed he ever had feelings for you and I'm overthinking it." He says and he has to be. 

"Yeah probably. Anyways I'm going surfing." I flip off my brother as I walk out the door and I almost run into someone as I'm grabbing my surfboard.

"Beatrice, there you are." What the fuck. I know that voice from anywhere.

"Hi mom."
