Once Alicendria had recovered from the birth and was able to leave her chambers, she made her way to Aemond's chambers, her steps slow and steady. She found him at his desk, going over some paperwork. He looked up as she entered, his face breaking out into a small smile at the sight of her.

"How do you feel?" he asked, putting down the papers in his hand.

Alicendria smiled a little, her hand resting on her flat stomach.

"Tired, but good," she murmured, making her way to his side.

"Aemond, would you mind sending a raven to the Queen, telling her that I've given birth?" Aemond's eyebrows rose in slight surprise.

"Of course. Anything specific you want me to say?" he asked, his gaze studying her carefully. Alicendria could tell that he was wondering if anything was wrong.

She shook her head, a smile tugging at her lips.

"No, just tell her that I've given birth, and that there will be a feast for Naerys here in Stepstones." Aemond nodded, his fingers tapping his desk as he considered her words.

"As you wish, love," he said, his voice low and intimate. He stood up from his desk, coming over to her and pulling her into a gentle, loving embrace.

Alicendria melted into his arms, her body fitting perfectly against his as she rested her head on his chest. She closed her eyes and breathed in his scent, feeling a sense of peace and contentment wash over her. This was her home, her sanctuary.
