Normally, I wouldn't be going around a new city with a stranger. But Shawn's not really a stranger. I know him. (From the internet.) He's a really nice person anyway, so I'm not too concerned.

My thoughts stopped when Shawn announced that his car was right ahead.

I walked closer to him once I realized I was about a foot away from him, while his hand was still on my wrist. I smiled at him gratefully once again, and before I even touched the handle, he opened the door for me.

I blushed. "You didn't have to do that. Thanks, though."

He smirks and jogs over quickly to the driver's side. When we both got buckled up, he asked before he even started the car "Is it okay if we go somewhere before we go home?"

I nod. "Sure. You're the driver."

"Woohoo!" Shawn squealed excitedly.

"You're kinda scaring me; You're too excited." I say cautiously.

He starts to calm down and the huge smile on his face disappears.

"Nowhere. Just my favorite place ever!" I didn't even think it was possible, but the smile on his face grew even bigger!

His smile was so contagious, that I couldn't help but smile as well.

After about ten minutes, the car stopped and Shawn glanced at me, then smiled.

Once again, he opened the door for me before I got the chance to open it myself.

"why thank you, good sir," I say in a weird accent.

"My pleasure, ma' lady." he replies with the same weird accent.

When my feet landed on the ground, he took my arm once again. I know it sounds real sappy and cheesy, but it's true; When he held my hand, I felt butterflies going crazy in my stomach.

I think Shawn has an effect on me.

" Oh. Well that's great to know." Shawn said with a cocky smirk plastered on his god like face.

Oh no. I did not just say that out loud. Great. Now he thinks I have a crush on him. But I don't. I just met him.

We walked in silence for a few minutes until he stopped walking. I gave him a confused and questioning look when I saw that we stopped in front of a bakery.

"Oh dear, dear, oblivious Hailee. You see, this bakery is my favorite place. Ever. Their muffins are SO GOOD. " Shawn said matter-of-factly.

"Muffin? You got all over excited over a muffin? I shall now call you the Muffin Man." I said in a playful tone, clearly joking.

We both laughed at our weirdness.

This Shawn fellow is starting to grow on me.

We walk into the bakery and it felt really cozy inside. I could live here if I had to. Shawn led me over to a glass case, the inside filled with tons of delicious smelling baked goods.

"So, what do you think?" He asked with a cheeky grin on his face.

"Hm?" I asked, too pre-occupied from trying not to drool over the chocolate muffins my eyes darted over to.

Shawn chuckled and replied "Those are my favorite! I get those every time. I'm good to order. How 'bout You?"

I snapped out of my gaze and answered "Want two of those as well. But I'll pay for mine."

"No. I'll pay." He said with a cute smile on his face once again.

"No. I'll pay for mine. It's my muffins anyway." I said, trying to argue.

"Fine. I'll just pay for my own." He said in a dull tone.

That was easier than I expected.

He took 2 dozens of muffins from the case. Damn this boy can eat.

Then we got in line.

After the woman punched in Shawn's order: two dozen Chocolate muffins, Shawn leaned over to the cashier to whisper something that I didn't hear.

The woman; Grace, slightly looked over at me with a small smile on her face. What's going on? She punched in a little more things into the Cash register and said cheerfully "That'll be 16.50."

Shawn handed her a twenty with a smile etched on his face. He took the change, then put it in the tips jar.

As Shawn walked away, I smiled at the Grace and gave her my muffins to box up. Just as I handed her a twenty to pay, she kindly smiled at me and said "That sweet gentleman over there already paid for you,"

I looked at Shawn, Who's face was lit up by a gigantic smile on his face.

This boy, I swear.

I looked back over to the cashier, Grace and smiled. "Thank you, Have a great day"

"You too! He's a keeper!" I heard behind me before I walked over to Shawn; attempting to hide my crimson red cheeks from her comment .

"Heyyy," he teased as I walked next to him.

"You're sneaky, Mendes. You really didn't have to pay for me, but thanks!" I gave him a slight side hug before pulling away and starting to walk towards the car again.

A few minutes later, I feel large arms draped across my shoulder casually.

Oh Shawn.........
