I woke up with the sun shining through my blinds. Damn it. I forgot to close them last night. I don't really care.
I looked at my alarm clock on my bed stand and saw that it was only 9:00 am.
I stayed in bed for a couple more minutes to check my phone. I posted my cover last night a few hours after I filmed it. When I checked the views, it already had 250, 000 views! That just made my morning.
I also remembered that tonight, Shawn's family was gonna come over and eat dinner here. I gotta admit. I had mixed emotions about this. I'm excited to meet his family, but I was also a bit nervous. I didn't really know why; but I was.
Eventually, I got off my bed lazily. I had to finish packing ASAP, so my room wouldn't look embarrassing.
I grabbed my bluetooth speakers from my nightstand, and connected it to my phone. The angelic voice of Tori Kelly filled up my room. I walked into my bathroom and I took a shower.
When I finished my shower, I dried myself and changed into a tank top and my favorite grey joggers. Then I brushed my teeth and I walked out of the bathroom.
I went to eat breakfast with aunt Maddie and excused myself when I was done. She reminded me again that tonight the Mendes family was gonna come over.

For the next hour or so, I continued unpacking, and finally, around 12 pm, I was completely done unpacking. Not to brag, but my room looked awesome.
Since I had nothing much to do, I grabbed my TV remote, shut my lights and blinds, and I watched some movies on Netflix.
In the middle of my fifth movie, Tracers, and my second bag of Doritos, there was a knock on my door.
"It's open! You can come in." I call out.
The door opened a few seconds later, revealing Aunt Maddie. "Hey Hailee, you should start getting ready. It's already 6: 30. The Mendes's are coming over in thirty minutes."
"SHIT! THIRTY MINUTES?!!" I exclaimed; hurriedly closing the door, and causing my aunt to laugh from behind the door.
I gotta get ready. I rummaged through my closet to put together my outfit. I chose a Maroon 3/4 sleeve shirt, which is my favorite color, by the way, with a Black skirt, Black knee-high socks, and my favorite Black booties.
I put on my outfit, and then grabbed my straightener and plugged it in.
While I waited for it to heat up, I did my makeup. I didn't wanna look overdressed, so I did a natural look. When my makeup looked good enough, I straightened my hair, and braided my hair to look like a headband.
I finished just in time: 7: 05 pm. The door bell rang, and after a few minutes, aunt Maddie called me down. "Hailee! Our guests are here!" she calls over the quiet chatter from downstairs.
"Okay. Gimme a few seconds!" I called back.
I straighten my skirt out and I walked out my room, and down the stairs, to the front of the House, where everyone was.
I stood next to my aunt, and she smiled at me. "Hailee, this is Karen, Manuel, Aaliyah, and you already know Shawn. " She pointed at each person. Aaliyah smirks, I'm assuming because of the fact that I already know Shawn.
"Hi! How are you Hailee! Shawn has told me lots about you!" Karen gushed while standing next to Manuel, who smiled at me.
Shawn's mother had a beautiful British accent. So he must be half British.
