SHAWN AT RADIO CITY WAS TONIGHT! I'M SO PROUD OF HIM!!  ❤❤❤

For the first couple of minutes of our car ride, Shawn and I talked and laughed. But a comfortable silence followed.

Shawn looked a bit on edge. He was gripping the steering wheel so tightly that his knuckes turned white. I decided to speak up after a few moments.

"Shawn, are you okay? You seem a little tense."

His head snapped to me immediately.

"Yeah. It's just that my last and first date didn't turn out great. My date, Laura left me at the bowling alley. She said I was boring."  He explained,  sounding slightly embarrassed.

I nodded my head slowly before I replied.

"Don't worry,  Shawn. I won't ever leave you. I don't know how to get home."  I joked.

"Wow. I feel so loved."  he joked back,  earning a grin from me.

"But seriously. That means a lot,  Hailee. Thanks."  he smiled.

For a few moments,  there was another comfortable silence. I decided to break it.

"So, you're really not gonna tell me where we're going?" I asked.

"Nope. All I'm gonna say is I'm taking you to two places." He said with a confident smirk etched on his perfectly sculpted face.

"Aw. Are we close though?" I questioned further.

"Yeah, actually. We're like fifteen minutes away from the first place. "

I glanced at the clock and saw that it was only 7:30. I thought we've been in the car longer. Guess not.

After a few minutes, we pulled up in front of a really nice looking pizza shop.   I was really excited. I could eat pizza all day everyday.

"Oh my gosh Shawn! This date is already starting out great!" I beamed.

He chuckled and lead us both inside, letting me go in first. The place was pretty busy. Couples sat on almost all the seats they had.

We sat in a booth towards the front of the shop, near the counter while we decided what we would eat. Then, when we were done choosing, Shawn stood up and ordered for the both of us.

We both had a slice of cheese pizza and a slice of pizza with bacon, beef and peppers. I forgot what it was called, honestly. I would've eaten more pizza, but I didn't wanna seem like a pig. Especially on our first date. The pizza was the bomb though. The crust was amazing as well.

Before we ate, I asked Shawn sheepishly if we could take a picture of us, because aunt Maddie asked me to. He agreed eagerly, and he took my phone that I held out to him. He moved from the seat across me to the one next to me, and he draped his arm around my shoulder, holding out my phone.

Then, we smiled for the camera. The camera clicked, then we took another one with us making faces, and another of Shawn holding up a peace sign and me holding up a rock 'n roll sign.

After we took the pictures, Shawn asked me to send him the pictures, which I did. Then we began eating.

Once we finished up our food and drinks, we headed out the door to our next destination.

The car ride was spent with us singing and or humming along to the songs on the radio. We drove for about ten more minutes.

Soon, I found out that we were going ice skating. We were in a different place, though. Last time didn't end so well. I'm betting this time won't be any different. It was only a few days ago anyway.

I guess Shawn realised how apprehensive I was about his plans for tonight, because he immediately reassured me.

"Don't worry Hailee. Tonight is going to be fun. I promise. " he said.

I still wasn't sure, but I nodded my head anyway.

Then, he got out of the car and held my door open for me.

"Thanks Shawn. I'm not gonna argue about that with you tonight. " I teased.

He stuck his tongue out at me playfully as a response.

He held out his hand for me and I gladly took it. We walked hand in hand up to the counter. Other than us, there was only one other couple here. Which, I guess is a good thing, because that means I won't get embarrassed in front of a lot of people.

Shawn told the clerk our shoe sizes, and she came back with a pair for each of the both of us. We thanked her then sat on a bench to put our skates on. I was getting more and more nervous as time passed. I didn't want to cause him to leave the rink early again.

"Shawn, why did you take me ice skating again? I sucked so bad the last time." I told him, smiling.

"You weren't that bad. Besides. I'm gonna teach you tonight. So next time, we can both skate." He smirked.

I nodded my head as I continued tying my skates. Soon we both secured our skates, and we began to walk to the rink. Shawn had to assist me so I wouldn't fall.

Finally, we got into the rink. Immediately, I lost control causing me to nearly slip. Thankfully, Shawn had a firm grip on my arm and he caught my back.

Then, he began to lead me, gliding timidly on the ice while pulling me along, careful not to pull too hard. I blushed at his gentleness towards me.

The rest of the night was spent with him pulling me along, until eventually he told me I should try skating on my own.

I didn't want to, but Shawn insisted I did. "You'll be fine, Hailee." Shawn whispered to me, adjusting the beanie on my head.

I did as he said, and after a while, I got used to skating, and I finally learned how to, without Shawn having to hold me up. He clapped for me, as if he was a proud father.

We had a lot of laughs and jokes, especially when Shawn fell, and I was the one who helped him up.

The night went on with him skating next to me. This was possibly the best date I've ever been on. And he was possibly the best date I've ever had.

All of a sudden, I somehow fell, and so did Shawn, who was skating facing me. Then, almost as if from a cliché movie or book, I fell right on top of him.

Our faces were literally centimetres away. Our breaths were visible in the space between us. Shawn began to lean in. So did I.

Then, we kissed. His lips moulded perfectly with mine, and his hand was wrapped protectively around my waist. The kiss was brief, only lasting a few seconds, but it sent electricity shooting up my entire body. His touch was enough to drive me insane.

We soon realised that we were still in public, so we both laughed awkwardly, and struggled to stand. Eventually, we both got up, and brushed the small particles of ice on our clothes.

Suddenly, Shawn spoke up. "I like you a lot, Hailee." He said with his adorable lopsided grin.

"I really like you, Shawn." I replied with a gigantic smile on my face.
