Jade's pov
I let out a soft gasp, clinging to him as he carried me to the back of the bus, our movements hurried, urgent, as the kiss deepened further. The world outside vanished—just the press of his body against mine, the fire in his touch, and the weight of everything unsaid between us.
Nick set me down on the edge of the bed with a careful yet commanding strength. His hands framed my face, his thumbs brushing over my cheeks as his gaze bore into mine. The intensity in his eyes stole the air from my lungs, dark and turbulent like a storm on the verge of breaking.
"You're mine, Jade," he whispered, his voice raw, hoarse with emotion. "No one else gets to have you. Not him. Not anyone."
I swallowed hard, my heart pounding so loudly I could barely hear anything else. His words weren't just a claim; they were a plea, a desperate need for reassurance.
"I'm yours," I murmured, reaching up to slide my fingers into his hair, pulling him closer. "Only yours."
The declaration seemed to snap something in him. His lips crashed against mine, fierce and unyielding, the kiss a battle of fire and longing. His hands roamed down my sides, gripping me with a possessiveness that made my skin burn. Every touch, every kiss carried an unspoken message: he needed to erase the shadows of Harry, the humiliation of that photo, the doubt that lingered between us.
Nick pushed me back onto the bed, his body following mine, every inch of him radiating heat and tension. His lips trailed down my neck, leaving a trail of burning kisses that sent shivers cascading through me.
"Every part of you," he said against my skin, his voice low and almost a growl, "is mine. Do you understand that?"
I nodded, my breath hitching, but it wasn't enough for him. He paused, lifting his head to meet my eyes, his expression fierce.
"Say it," he demanded. "I need to hear you say it."
"You," I whispered, my voice trembling with both passion and conviction. "I'm yours, Nick. Always."
His breath shuddered against my skin, his grip tightening as though he needed to anchor himself. "Good," he murmured, his lips brushing the hollow of my throat. "Because I'll never let anyone take you from me. Especially, him."
There was no room for anything else—no anger, no fear, no lingering shadows of Harry. It was just us, tangled in a moment that felt raw and unbreakable. Nick's hands slid over my body, his touch a mix of reverence and desperation, like he was memorizing every inch of me, branding me as his.
He kissed me again, slower this time, but no less intense. Every movement, every breath felt like a vow—a promise that nothing and no one could ever come between us. The possessiveness in his touch, the way he whispered my name like it was a prayer, made my heart ache with something far deeper than passion.
Nick's lips hovered over mine, his forehead resting against mine as our breaths mingled. His voice was softer now, but the emotion behind it hit like a tidal wave.
"I love you, Jade," he said, the words carrying a weight that made my chest tighten. "I love you so much it scares me."
I reached up, cupping his face, my thumb brushing against the tension in his jaw. "I love you too," I whispered, my voice breaking. "And I'm not going anywhere."
The tension between us shifted, softening into something tender and profound. As Nick leaned in, capturing my lips once more, I knew that this moment wasn't just about claiming or proving anything. It was about finding our way back to each other, stronger and more unshakable than before.
