Change of Plans

Tara's POV

I call Rory when I get home so I don't forget. I just discovered that I'm free and I can babysit.

"Hey, Rory?"

"Yeah."

"You really need someone to cover for you this weekend, right?"

"Omg, yes!"

"I'm free."

"Thank you so much! You are amazing and have saved me. Okay just let me get you the details."

I listen as Rory tells me everything I need to know. I quickly scribble down the information in a basic black notebook, then hang up when she says thanks for the millionth time.
Babysitting really isn't a problem or too big of a task for me. Viera sounds like a sweet girl, too.

I spent a lot of time trying to puzzle out the new note from Angelina. But to be honest, my mind has been wondering what David's been up to. It's not like he's disappeared but we haven't talked lately or anything.
Either way, I still have this babysitting gig this evening.

I check my phone and realize that I got a text from David.

Hey What's up?

I roll my eyes and reply.

Wondering what you're up to?

I'm about to shut my phone off to go get a snack when I notice that Grace texted about half an hour ago.

What are you doing this evening?

Babysitting for Viera

Grace responds quickly.

Can I come along? I want to get some investigation done. It would be nice for someone to come along. Do you mind stopping by the shop with me?

Uh sure. I guess it's fine if I'm with you.

I don't really think much about whether it's a good idea for Grace to come along because I busy myself with eating a snack of pickles and whatever else there is for a snack. I didn't really have breakfast this morning...
I check my phone again and David hasn't texted back.
I watch tv and find myself restless, thinking about the recent events, David and even about what Grace has possibly figured out.

A/N: Short part, I know. I'm still trying to update as much as possible, along with my other works. Plus school start up is happening, so it's busy with my first year of high school. But stay tuned for a new part soon from Grace's POV.
