The sun was barely up when Carina stormed through the quiet corridors of Hogwarts, her heart racing. She hadn't slept at all, her mind buzzing with unanswered questions and anger. Her feet pounded the stone floor as she climbed toward the Headmaster's office.

The gargoyle leapt aside without a word, as though it could sense her mood. The spiral staircase rotated upward, and she took the steps two at a time until she reached the heavy wooden door. She didn't knock—just shoved it open.

Dumbledore was seated at his desk, calm as ever, sipping tea from a delicate china cup. He looked up serenely as the door slammed against the wall.

"Ah, Miss Gray. What an... energetic entrance."

Carina stalked inside, slamming the door shut behind her. "Energetic? I'm furious!"

Dumbledore raised a single eyebrow but didn't speak.

"You knew!" she accused, pointing a finger at him. "You knew who my father was, you knew who I am—and you never told me! Instead, I had to eavesdrop in a pub to find out! A pub! Is that some sort of sick joke?" She threw her arms up in exasperation.

Fawkes gave a soft squawk from his perch, but Dumbledore remained silent.

"You knew what happened that night Voldemort came for the Potters," Carina pressed, pacing furiously. "You've known this whole time! I could've known the truth years ago—what gave you the right to decide I shouldn't?"

She hadn't finished there. "I mean, seriously—do you have any idea what it's like? To grow up in an orphanage surrounded by people calling me a freak because of magic I didn't even understand? And you were here the whole time—knowing—watching—and never once thought, 'Hmm, maybe Carina deserves to know the truth about who she is!' It's scandalous! Ridiculous! It's—it's—I don't even have words!"

Dumbledore calmly set down his cup, folded his hands, and asked, "Lemon drop?"

Carina blinked. "Are you serious?"

Before he could answer, the door burst open again, and two familiar figures charged in—James Potter and Remus Lupin.

"Albus!" James shouted, his hair an untidy mess as if he'd been running his hands through it repeatedly. "What the hell is going on?"

Remus was pale but tense, his eyes blazing. "You let her find out like this?" he demanded, his voice low but dangerous.

They stormed toward Dumbledore's desk but halted when they noticed Carina standing there, arms crossed and glaring at them.
